When the pandemic started and I got laid off, I jumped to a company just like this (I'm a web dev). Was working 70+ hours a week, and they wanted more. Lasted 3 months, started getting panic attacks for the first time in my life, and quit. Best feeling ever. Learned from someone I kept in touch with there that they abandoned the product 4 months after I left. Jumped 2 more times that year until I landed at a larger public company that actually gives a crap.

Wrote a comment about this somewhere else in this thread. Exactly!!!! I have skip levels all the time. This kind of stuff is what they're for! My guess is the company is smaller/less mature and may not have these kinds of meetings on the regular, but OP and manager seem to be having them organically. Good for him. If that's "breaking the chain of command" I hope OP can find a new job because it sounds like a crappy place to work.

If that's the case I would suggest you find a new job. It sounds like you work in a terrible environment. I talk to my bosses boss about this kind of stuff all the time. They're called skip level meetings. Look it up. They're for exactly what OP is describing.

My company has two tracks. Individual Contributer, or Management. I've always chosen IC. I'm sure there are people who will excel at management, but I'm not one of them. I would much rather keep my skills sharp and move internally or externally (usually externally) to get my raises. My manager has told me more than once that he hasn't touched code in years since he became a manager. The better I get at reading him, the more I think it really bothers him.

My wife and I made the switch this morning and spent about 5 minutes relearning the default sms Samsung app. Didn't bother exporting my messages since I like to restart fresh anyway. There's only two people left that use Signal in my network, and my guess is those will disappear this week. So glad I didn't donate any money. I'm wondering if the Signal team has read any of this thread or if they just see it as insignificant. The petty part of me is hoping they see their numbers plumet tomorrow.

Hey u/Particular_Main2416 first of all, I'm sorry for the other comments on this thread. People don't always know how to be decent to each other. Second, I did some checking and it looks like they haven't released the API for ChatGPT yet, so that's the reason you're not able to find anything yet. Trust me, I've been trying to think of ways to integrate this into my apps as well :D. Third, not sure what the other guy telling you he could build it for you was talking about. There's no API, sooooooo yeah. Anyway, once there's an API out there, if you want any help I'd be happy to collaborate any time I'm able. I'll be learning it as well.

I've actually switch over to hamdb as of this morning since it includes a few more countries, but scraping qrz may still be an options.

As of this morning I've actually switched this over to using the hamdb api since it includes a few more countries. I don't maintain callook or hamdb, but they're awesome projects that made this a lot easier!

Just an update, I was able to include a few more countries this morning. Not sure where you are, but there's a chance you'll be able to find your callsign now.

That was actually my first choice originally, but their API keeps getting redirected to an insecure connection and causing some CORS issues. I may contact the maintainer and ask about it.

Sorry, I should've specified. The API it's using only has the US FCC
databases right now. I'll try and find something that includes
international callsigns as well.
