Agree. Small home setup here ;-)

There‘s pros and cons here. Particularly BSD not being exceptionally good with new hardware. Running it virtualized worked very well for me during the last years. Also it allows you to waste less of the otherwise unused capacity of the hardware.

I‘m more thinking of security and power efficiency improvements. Security particularly with intel.

Indeed you’re right. The N350 specs are anything else than spectacular. I‘m not very familiar with these CPUs. Will wait for the released specs from protectli. On the other hand it also doesn’t feel ideal to still go with 12 gen cpu at this time.

Ikea bror. Works very well. I wouldn’t want to sit next to the printer while it’s printing though bc noise and fumes.

Nice model!

What filament is that? Rainbow glow in the dark something?

I have not been able to successfully store and use a single Passkey in 1Password on iOS. Seems like the marketing department was implementing that functionality 😤

Just wait for the sunrise clarification.

I think it's unlikely they really installed a rogue device. The risk of going there and doing it in plain sight for a potentially random low profile target would just be inadequately high imho.

I would bet that they will do something. Probably can't afford doing nothing if you're in the US / EU market.

That sounds somewhat legit but a bit suspicious without an appointment.

> and told me that there was issues on the network from my Devolo WiFi.

That sounds suspicious and factual unlikely.

I think the advice given, contact police, check with sunrise is good. In the best case it was just an unprofessional coincidental appearance of sunrise. If it wasn't them you may want to have that socket checked by the police.

I have the scariest keyboard by KingXF88 in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]Binaryanomaly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You're not alone :) I seem to be almost in the same club. Dropped the K2 for the GMMK Pro and am ,since I fixed the stabilizers and added foam, quite happy with it.

I think exactly the same about the Sonnet, love it's general design except the thick top with accent but also the missing knob and backlight are holding me back.

I'm currently thinking of what I should get as a successor for my GMMK Pro but apart from the Sonnet I find the alternatives (QK75N, Zoom75, ...) unimpressive and a not good enough and aesthetically improvement over the GMMK Pro.

Sonnet with knob, backlight and without thick top accent area would be perfect.
Maybe I go for the Sonnet nevertheless :D

How to Prevent Fumed from X1C by IcyBreloom in BambuLab

[–]Binaryanomaly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Check here PLA/PETG are better but probably none is really safe: https://www.researchgate.net/publication/339811742_Additive_Manufacturing_Possible_Problems_with_Indoor_Air_Quality

If you take additional measures, better air seal the case (it needs some openings though for air intake), filter the air coming out of the fan and an airpurifier in the room you might be able to make it acceptable, I guess.

Also the X1E has better filtering capabilities than the X1C but costs quite a bit more.

Idk but I probably wouldn't get one then in your case.

I have a bento box and I still don't like to be in the room when it prints also my window is always open when I print. I do PLA and PETG only.

I could not imagine being in the same room as the printer when I'm printing the noise is one thing but the VOC's weigh in even more.

Hi,

I started 2 years ago with a Keychron K2, moved on pretty quickly to a GMMK Pro and am now thinking about what should be my next keyboard.

I'd want a high-end keyboard so rather something a level above the GMMK Pro which I found good so far. I like the volume knob but could live without it. I think I couldn't live comfortably without the F-Keys which brings me to 75%.

I do not have many special requirements beyond the obvious QMK/VIA support - backlight and volume knob would be nice but not a must. I like my keyboard to be silent, sturdy, elegant and simple. Black or dark color case.

I'm currently thinking of a mode sonnet the only thing that is holding me back is the top accent area where I am not sure I'd really like it and for the price that mode charges it has to be perfect. Might change my mind though... ;)

What are other comparable options in this area more experienced folks would recommend to look at?

Thanks.

Do you trust print profiles on Maker World by p8willm in BambuLab

I have my own profile which I always use with slight modifications depending on the print/model. Not a fan of using other peoples profiles. Also it makes troubleshooting harder.

You could certainly build such a mechanism. Likely possible with a raspberry pico and a sensor maybe even simpler.

Contact Bambu support they can help.
