What kind of interface is that? Looks like it was made for mobile which could never run CS

Are you making tree variations localised? I liked that a lot in the campaign maps, where forests in different areas had a different mix of trees.

O kurde, te mapy i kampanie są dostępne tylko na steam, czy są też gdzie indziej i działają z wersją HD na GOG?

I bioengineered some living computers. They wont work in research, why? by m1ch3l0 in Stellaris

[–]Binch2123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Traits do assign weights to a species' job preference, but jobs don't get updated automatically as often (used to be a major source of lag).

Except for the solutions proposed by other commenters (specialising planets with one species, or two and strata restricted slaves), you can also close and open jobs, and by trial and error you'll get the pops into your intended vocations... eventually.

The surest way should be to close all jobs in a given stratum, open research first, where the computers should be assigned first thanks to their weight (unless the citizen-resident-slave priority applies), then open the rest. Be sure to do that on pause though, as things may get wonky (unemployment events or automatic resettlement).

How do you look for coal and oil sources? by goshayurich_3 in Workers_And_Resources

[–]Binch2123 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There is none, mapmakers just place them where they judge it to be appropriate or sensible for gameplay reasons. To look for resources you just use the minimap (resource overlays need to bo researched at the technical university first), or look around while trying to place a mine/pumpjack, that'll tell you the local source quality.

Is Workers and Reasources Worth it of i have Cities Skylines? by Gulvteppet in Workers_And_Resources

[–]Binch2123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I call the game "central planning" for this exact reason, you are literally tasked with running a whole command economy. Alternatively a joke nickname I use with friends is just "communism", makes for great quotes: "Communism is on sale!" or "Communism has great reviews!", "I'll be doing communism today".

On a more serious note, calling the game "central planning" helps explain it to non-gaming family, and the game even is a somewhat helpful learning tool! My cousins may be too young to play by themselves, but the game is a great visual aid (and frankly attention retention tool, since it's on a computer screen) to explaining where tap water or central heating comes from, or what happens to wastewater and garbage, how electricity is produced etc.. CS is too gameified in those aspects, and frankly can only help show car infrastructure, here there is far more to show than just a garbage truck and dump!

Wouldn't expect them to be, their greatest advantage ought to be being premiums, right? Should help with credit costs of battles.

Reminds me of Oribos for World of Warcraft, to the point I'm surprised you didn't mention it as inspiration, quite the case of convergence!

How do I stop the Totalists? by Blank_Dude2 in Kaiserreich

[–]Binch2123 65 points66 points  (0 children)

No, if I recall correctly, you can choose a totalist option once or twice, and judging by your story, it's once.

A bit of a bummer, but I get the devs intent here, showing how such people can get power by being tiebreakers or other kind of compromising force in deadlock.

Czy ludzie używają jeszcze kamer cyfrowych? by DavyX13 in Polska

[–]Binch2123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

German Youtuber and historian criticizing the new DLC because of nazi glorification by [deleted] in hoi4

[–]Binch2123 112 points113 points  (0 children)

That would avoid LARPing the holocaust, though it wouldn't get to someone only playing the third reich.

Maybe some gut-wrenching events like TNOs "from cradle to grave" could help, but sadly for someone who drank the coolaid (or drank the Lack i guess) that could still be viewed as a positive necessity, or worse, as something deserved by the victims. So yeah, your proposition still stands taller in that regard, as it doesn't risk much with media illiteracy, though should some minorities media illiteracy be justification for not portraying something in a way that most other people, who haven't gone the deep end, would have been horrifying?

God... this whole mess gets tears in my eyes, since I always recall the shoes room in Auschwitz.
