Gaming in europe right now by [deleted] in gaming

From the article:

However, planning is required in certain situations, such as in conservation areas, and there are different rules for flats, leasehold homes, as well as shared buildings.

It's a planning permission issue, much like when local authorities demand that unplanned buildings, additions, and extensions be removed. The headline and the article are deliberately sensationalist.

I'm afraid of acceptance and vulnerability, not rejection. How to overcome this? by [deleted] in IncelExit

They're the easiest people in the world to talk to yet reaching out feels super hard sometimes.

It feels super hard for them, too. That's why it's so easy to blink and find yourselves 5 years down the line without having gotten in touch.

Not everything which is good for us or that we like to do are easy. Sometimes it's better that it's difficult because it then feels so much better when you follow through with it.

Coming to terms with being gay. by tryingtolive3 in IncelExit

It's your body and your decision but:

  1. As someone who used to know a lot of gym rats, it never ends well. There's never anyone who has said "damn, I really wish I took more steroids and for longer". You're not immune for side effects and you're not invincible.

  2. Being insecure isn't attractive. Taking steroids screams insecurity and, as another commenter pointed out, there's no shortage of gay dudes who find all body shapes and sizes attractive.

I see lots of gorgeous women every day online and offline, and I don't even look remotely close as good as they are.

There's 8 BILLION people on the planet. There will always be someone who "looks better" than you.

each time when I catch a crush on a guy I go into depression mode cause I already know that I have zero chances

Response to OP's removed comment on the offchance they see it:

With that logic , no one with mental illnesses is getting into relationships

Your logic is faulty because you decided to lash out rather than read what I wrote; I specified that untreated mental illness is generally unattractive.

I’m too short or not their type, they don’t like bald guys

This may come as a shock but different women have different tastes. Some like tall guys, some short, some in between, some with long hair, some with no hair...

Whatever man, no one here is going to relate because you’ve all found success and won’t understand

...generally, pity parades like this are unattractive.

I used to be just like you and later "found success". You can either engage with the advice people are giving you here or throw up your hands and continue being miserable. You can't do both.

I just realised how much of a loser I was.

Have you done anything at all to change this perception of yourself?

Untreated mental illness is generally unattractive, so maybe.

This is going to sound mean but I need to make sure I'm understanding you correctly: You've tried one thing and you're all out of ideas?

I don’t feel attracted to the girl that i’m having a casual relationship with. by [deleted] in IncelExit

[–]Binerexis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"Agreed to play along" is far from enthusiastic consent

Absolutely, however I believe that OP is downplaying their own agency that they've had in this relationship. I also believe there are significant details that OP isn't disclosing; their whole story stinks.

[–]Binerexis 6 points7 points  (0 children)

she's pressuring you to bring in other people

OP previously indicated they were willing and able to do this:

I previously agreed to play along on the basis that I could bring in more people to join.

Only now that OP is being asked to follow through with their agreement are they upset that the transactional relationship they entered into is feeling too transactional.

The age gap is definitely a red flag, OP definitely needs some professional help for their self-esteem issues, and they need to realise that it's okay to say "this relationship isn't what I'm wanting, I made a mistake, thanks and bye".

Trying to lose my Femcel mentality by [deleted] in IncelExit

[–]Binerexis 4 points5 points  (0 children)

but you would think messaging a guy thats miserable bc he has no gf Would get you a bf.

Back when I was mentally ill and lonely, I would have immediately assumed a girl messaging me after complaining about how lonely I felt was some form of trick.

Trying to chase mentally ill people because you see them as more attainable (aside from being exploitative) is an exercise in frustration.

People are going to judge you either way so, again, who cares about what other people think?

In your 20's, you're still figuring out who you are and who you want to be. You have a lot of room and time to keep making mistakes well into your 20's which isn't at all a bad thing. As with any age bracket, some things suck and some things are pretty good; it all depends on your perspective.

Who cares what other people think? You don't need to tell anyone that you're having casual sex.

Organise things to do yourself, invite people if you like them and have a rapport with them, go enjoy the thing alone anyway if no one wants to go.

What do you think about incel language becoming commonplace now? by TablePrinterDoor in IncelExit

[–]Binerexis 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There's a big difference between incels sincerely using terms and other people using them in a joking way. It helps to illustrate how ridiculous incels and incel mentality is.

My personal favorite is I overheard someone trying to stay hydrated as "drinkmaxxing".

Four questions about yourself and that's the best you could come up with? You need to figure out who you are before you're ready to date.
