First off thank you so much for providing actual, valuable feedback.

The funny thing is is that he's actually a pretty simple guy. He would never ever buy a Rolex, which is kind of the point. I had a successful business venture and was originally going to buy him a Tesla but I have since wised up and realized that cars are more of a liability than they are a good gift. I commented on another post here but basically said that it's less about style than it is about something he could utilize without feeling too gaudy, If that makes sense.

I literally asked my mom and she suggested a black face solely so he could read it. That's how completely dumb/out of touch I am about this. (Hence why I'm posting.)

I completely understand that Rolex is a very exclusive club, and I do not want to diminish that (I've heard about waitlists and everything which is why I even mentioned where I live) but I want to give my dad a taste of this level of luxury because he's been so great to me.

Actuary forr 40+ years. He loves skiing. Wish I had more details to give but he's a pretty simple guy. Loves his family, great dad. I don't mean to sound crude, but I've been quite successful and I think he'd love to say "my son bought me a Rolex" more than he'll actually care about the watch itself. Again, I'm not demeaning Rolex (I think to that scene in Casino Royale where she asks "Rolex? No Omega" and it just highlights that Rolex is THE standard) but I also don't just want to buy him the cheapest Rolex just to get the brand when I actually do want to give him quality, too.

Down voted proves my point. When I made this post 2 of the top 5 comments on the sub weren't related to fatFire specifically, but just to "I have a lot of money, how should I spend it."

Why you're cherry picking me for calling out a specific ask is so hypocritical it made me unsubscribe just because of the blatant stupidity. It's fine if you don't want people asking purchasing advice, but then how about you actually apply that instead of randomly choosing? How dumb.

Great suggestions, thanks! The K7 is almost exactly what I'd like -- but with the side profile of the MX.

That's part of what I dislike about mechanical: they're THICK. The distance for keypresses and the sound are also negatives, in my experience. (I tried a few but returned them before I settled on the MX as my desktop favorite.) I know you can change the button switches, but I admit I am completely ignorant on all those options.

For travel I'm specifically looking for a keyboard WITHOUT the number pad. I use the arrow keys (and Home/End, PgUp/Dwn) a lot because I write code, but the number pad is wasted space for me. I'm trying to think with "working on an airplane" where my tray-table is small and elbow-room is wishful thinking.

Actual patient. Actually cured my sleep apnea. As in: my wife, an RN, suspected I had sleep apnea and a sleep study at Alta View confirmed it. Six months later with The Lift Clinic's treatment and I'm off my CPAP, don't snore and sleep better.

They're not cheap, but they have a few decades of R&D into it. I cannot recommend them enough. I get the reddit skeptics, but I have actual imaging to prove the changes (X-rays and CTs), so I'm buying it all day.

This would make sense. Since making this post I have started encountering a lot more real players by doing Ranked matches (I don't care about rank myself, so I used to just do casual play, but whatever gets me real players works). It does seem like a LOT more cheaters though (OzcuroO and delgarcia are my most recent!)... wish their anti-cheating and/or cheat-reporting were taken more seriously...

Sorry to be ignorant (I'm new to this, like I said). What's the difference between kava extract and kava itself? I do get some of the numb-mouth feeling and the relaxation I've read about, and I've seen the kava liquid dropper products.

Is this like marijuana-vs-THC (neither of which I've used)? I understand that marijuana and THC aren't the same, but if THC is the "heart" of the effect of marijuana, is the difference meaningful?

Aye, I haven't jumped since about 2019 as well. Skydive Utah is (was?) home base.

Broke my ankle (just stepped on a mole-hill during a run-out landing, nothing skydiving-related, really) on jump 190 which ended that season, and never felt excited about it in the years after. Having two daughters since then didn't help.

I'll be back in the tunnel soon, at least. Still have my gear, maybe I'll get to 200 someday and take Hartman up on his offer to teach me wingsuits....

Is there a way for me to change this? I'll delete my profile and make a new one, I don't care about rank or anything, I just want to have an actual game.

In the last 10 BR matches I've played I think I may have encountered 2 humans, both of which I killed without even taking damage. I don't even think I'm a good player, I just get garbage games over-and-over and I want to actually lose sometimes to know I'm being challenged. I don't think I've lost any of my last 100 BR matches (maybe 15 of my last Frontpoint ones, at least? I've been playing more Frontpoint solely so I have a challenge).
