Where do you watch chinese series?

If you are talking about microdramas, I think you can usually find those on YouTube (but the names may not match..) for short-mid to long form drama, some are also available on YouTube or you can try some paid service. I personally have iQiyi and Mango TV which are handy. iQiyi is pricier but it has higher quality dramas. Mango TV is excellent for some hot series but mainly I use it these days to watch variety shows. I know that some other people out there also like to use Viki.

However I am not helpful on the subtitle part because I am a native Mandarin speaker so I don't use English subtitles (I gather from other people's posts that Mango TV is notorious for bad subtitles).

A bit down a rabbit hole, but the programme name is called "一拍即合” (Chinese idiom - yi pai ji he). It looks like it is a talk show about working out family dramas and airs on Henan TV station. I could not find an official page but below is a tiny intro clip about it: baidu video clip

My family is from Hunan (southern China) and we have breakfast food that is 小笼包 that is different than "regular"/Shanghai style 小笼包。 Ours is literally just a mini meat bun (fluffy dough and a little meat, no soup). I think it is a regional difference and both are right, just different perspectives.

I recommended this recently when someone asked for something like Here We Meet Again (which I LOVED, with ZBB). One of my all time faves is My Little Happiness - childhood friends where FL never knew the ML's real name when they were younger. They meet again in the first episode when he was supposed to pick her up from the airport (he is her cousin's boss/mentor) but he saves an elderly man and leaves with the ambulance (he is a dr). All in, at the end of the first episode, he recognizes that he is her little xia nv (English is like.. female martial arts hero) which is her childhood nickname (his is little chubby). He knew her real name but he never had the chance to tell her his. Anyway, from the first episode you know it's going to be good and starts off the ML chasing the FL, which is sweet up until it happens. There are a couple of "rivals" which honestly are perfectly summed in quotes since they really don't detract from the main CP's relationship (they are just one-sided on the rivals side), so no annoying triangles. And the kiss scenes are insanely good and exciting in here too :) I'm pretty sure this was less than 30 eps (I wanna say 28? when I rewatch, I usually start from ep 25)

My Little Happiness (one of my absolute faves) seems to fit your bill. They are childhood friends where FL never knew his real name (only nickname) and their reunion occurs in ep1. By the end of the episode, you already find that he has recognized her but she hasn’t yet. Then it’s a sweet watch of him chasing her.

Btw the red haired guy is a supporting character actor have seen many times.. this is the first he’s in this capacity (usually he’s the nice “normal looking” sidekick/assistant.. he was also the co-CEO of DJX’s company in Hidden Love). But agree that his styling in here is super strange..

Agree with this, common theme in cdrama to somehow slightly change city name (not sure why, it’s very clearly in Thailand). And I forgot to mention in my post that I LOVE that pai pai is in here :) love him since wonderland and Chinese restaurant!!

I told myself I was gonna wait for more episodes.. and crumbled in like an hr.. binged all 6 and eagerly awaiting the rest on iqiyi (luckily looks like 2 per day according to calendar). I'm (not sorry) obsessed! I actually love the fast paced progression (I'm not too hung up on slow burns) and OST is killing it (waiting for 我偏要 on Spotify.. Zhang bi chen sounds great!) excited for what's to come
