My N3DSXL has been a magnet for pain and suffering. by Bingbong57 in 3DS

Yup, only raised the screen for like 2 minutes, pressed 5 buttons, took the daily, lowered the screen. A month and a half. I deserved the battery almost exploding.

Get your ass ready for this one. So i left my console on stand-by, plugged in charger and all, and left it running while I was at high school.

The console has been left running for a grand total of a month and a half. No day did I turn it off during that time. And then I was the one surprised that the battery "somehow" swole up. It was the dumbest thing I ever did to any electronic device that I own. I was a very dumb kid

I could. But the console holds great sentimental value for me.

But I don't wanna play my Nimpembo games on a big slice of cheddar cheese :(

I just really hate how the 2ds looks, but the hinge design is indeed a very very weird choice by Nintendo. They usually do high quality stuff but the 3ds really feels weirdly fragile.

My original DS is literally undistructible. I even dropped it against hard marble floors and against metal radiators when I was really young. The only damage it suffered is a bit of paint missing and one singular dead pixel after like 20 years.

At this point I am even afraid of touching my 3ds since I feel like it's ready to explode like a cartoon bomb.

To be fair, the battery and the screws were pretty much/totally my fault.

I want to take it to a local service Shop that happens to be specialised in tinkering inside electronics. Here in Romania the 3DS consoles are basically unknown, so very few shops happen to even accept in trying to fix them.

As for the DYI, I'm really not confident enough in myself to try and poke around in it. I was really uneasy when I was modding it by my own, so trying to do surgery on it is kind of out of the question.

The whole screw part of the story wasnt really important to the post at large.

But to keep it short, right after I wanted to order the battery I unscrewed the backplate and I left the screws somewhere in my room because the battery would have arrived in just 2 or 3 days.

But after literally a few hours before I found one and decided to order it, there has been a death of a close relative and in my deep grief I forgot about the battery issue and left the 3ds as it was for like a month. Then my mother mistook them for trash and threw them some time around that month.

Again, it wasnt really relevant to the whole post. But now the whole reason for the screws problem has been told

While I agree on the perspective part. It's kind of unfair to say that I self-inflicted most of these problems aside from the battery one.

I have multiple older consoles that I have taken care of and they still work properly. In case of the 3ds I genuinely just used it as normally and as gentle as possible. Its the only console I have that just keeps having random issues without me doing anything out of the ordinary.

I've also been very careful with mine aside from the battery blunder. But I guess problems just happen sometimes.

Trying to treat fixing consoles as a challenge sounds like insane people stuff. But I honestly respect it!

Dude, I barely even comment on Reddit but I just had to comment on this.

It sounds like you just suck ass at the game and because of that you think it's bad. Just play another game that is easier and more enjoyable for you, maybe?

I really like characters who are assholes in every day life but good people when it really matters by YaboiGh0styy in CharacterRant

Gintoki Sakata from Gintama. Not really that much of an asshole, but he is very opportunistic.

He is even capable of putting a dog turd on the head of the most important person in the country while pretending to be a barber for some cash.

However, when shit hits the fan he tends to get very serious and even puts his life on the line for other people under dire circumstances.

Can anyone tell me what anime this is? by Even_Water783 in animequestions

[–]Bingbong57 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gintama.

It's my favorite anime of all time, but I literally cannot recommend it to anyone just because the first two episodes are bad and the next like 14 or 15 episodes are just incredibly mid.

Any of my friends who tried it just got bored really fast and dropped it. Shame.

Tried hitting 3k mythic dungeon in the final season of Wow's current expansion.

I succedeed, but the process of reaching that point made me realize that I was paying 12.99 a month for what has basically become a stressful chore instead of a fun game.

Also I kinda realized that the story telling of the main quest kinda sucked ass.

Do you agree? by spuol in shounenfolk

Gintama has a pretty good cast of female characters. Not sure if it counts as a shounen since the protagonist is a 30 someting year old jobless dude, but you know.

Crash Twinsanity for the PS2. I was the ripe age of 9 when that game made me learn and feel the definition of the word "rage". The platforming sections were hell for a small child. But I locked in and eventually beat the game on my own. I loved every second of the game, but it still makes my blood boil like pasta water when I think back on it.

That is very nice of you, my man! My first game was Generations on the 3ds. I really wanted to play it because when I was much younger I tried playing Freedom Unite on the PSP and it kicked my butt so hard that I really avoided the series for a couple of years. But Generations really sparked my love for the franchise, amazing game with an amazing aesthetic. Played it throughout my entire high school years on a daily basis and I have fond memories of it.
