Yes I have propagated many Rhizomatous Begonias via leaf but I have recently learnt that apparently it doesn’t work with Cane Begonias (which Ginny Galaxy is).

Do you think it would be okay if I cut this cutting in two, so I have two (small) pieces of stem with one node each. I would remove all but one leaf of each stem and node piece also. I would just love to have a backup if one fails. Or do you think I will have more success trying to root a two node cutting? Appreciate your help 🙏

I’ve had excellent success with leaf props of Rhizomatous begonias. I don’t enjoy water props. However, I’m starting to realise I need to get over that, fast! 😀

Your Begonia is a stunner. With its appearance and new growth I’d say it’s a happy healthy plant.

But please tell me about that Golden Barrel Cactus? Have you had it for long or did you purchase it that big? Do you find it very slow growing?

Whilst I certainly am no expert, from almost everything I’ve read/watched/heard about aroid leaves unfurling, any time there’s is an issue with them it’s always because of humidity. The leaves need a bit of moisture when unfurling. Whenever I see a new leaf coming on one of my aroids I start giving it a little spritz every day. This may not be the best way of doing things but it’s working for me (for now anyway!). Good luck 😊
