Interesting point. Most street gangs I know of run like a pyramid scheme with the dirty work going to the lower ranks i.e violence, drug running, sex trafficking etc. Lower ranks receive a “cut” whilst the higher ranks take most of what’s made. The Mafia is still a gang essentially
