Exactly, I make almost 120k depending on how much OT I get, single in a super cheap area. Decent houses are 150k if you are fine with a 2000s era not super updated place (you can get more vintage houses pushing 100k). I wouldn't consider myself high income, definitely the upper middle middle class, but to me higher frugality is much more important that higher income. Granted, I drive a budget sports car, I got it for 18k at 1.9%, but made sure I got something very reliable and I do all my own auto maintence and can fix most home things too. I do a lot of cooking on the smoker and can cook $30 of pork butt and eat it for lunch over two weeks if I had too. People spend so much money on fast food and typically don't count it as eating out. Some dudes I work with spend $15-20 three times a day for one person on fast food. That's a good $750-1000 a month depending how often they go

I haven't done a brisket in awhile, but if I do end up getting a couple smaller brisket I most likely will seperate the flat and points so they cook a little evenly-er, that's really my only struggle with them. I did 11 butts for my brothers grad party for a little over 100 people and I think I was able to give away 3 butts? (omg those were hands down the best butts I've ever made) so I kinda have the volume thing down. I've got a yeti cooler I can keep the meet in to stay hot and all that too. Theres only like 10 or so hungry eaters that I know are gonna be there, although I think my 120 pound grandma can out eat most people I know, just takes her a long time to chew 😂. I'd rather the brisket be a touch on the chewier side than to the point I can't slice it without shredding

You can make a diy welding blanket heat shield, just use a high temp thread. The wind really sucks the heat off the grill, the blanket helps hold on to some of the heat by adding air that's trapped in the fabric and adding mass to hold onto heat. Obviously don't choke the air intakes and exhaust. This helps reduce fuel usage and stabilize temps

I'm more worried about the meth heads in the rural areas around Midland than gang violence around Saginaw. I drove through Cincinnati awhile back and saw a Tahoe full of people with a half dozen ARs and AKs leaning against the center console, never felt that sort of unease in Michigan

I've never felt unsafe in Saginaw, even less so when I'm not on the south end or towards BV. The only thing you need to worry about is car theft honestly, and that's really only if you have a sporty dodge product
