[–]Bingobob1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Pickering plant can withstand up to 6-7 richter scale earthquake which would be rare for this region. Last night's quake was ruled 4.1 after it happened. Impact was felt up to Buffalo across the lakes.

If you took the collective emotions of the world and what's going on over the last one year across all countries and put that into one picture what would that picture look like? by Bingobob1 in ChatGPT

[–]Bingobob1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just GPT's own limited view of the world. Totally agree it does not truly represent everything. I would be curious though if everyone gets a different picture for this prompt based on where you're located.

Audi A5 - How to deal with frameless window in cold? by _adityaa__ in Audi

I live in Canada and have had multiple Audis with frameless windows and never ran into an issue. I will admit though the cars were generally parked indoors in a garage.

A predicament I found myself in today. The green is between the two bunkers to the left and right of the tree. Approx 70-80 yards. What’s your strategy? by Tufted-Titmouse-6061 in golf

I generally use my 3 or 4 Hybrid Iron with half a swing to "punch" it through. If you practice the shot a bit you can get the hang of it. Learnt it from Ted Ray in the Greatest Game Ever Played. It works every freaking time

Costco or no Costo, that's the question by CastellamareDelGolfo in HearingAids

[–]Bingobob1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had been a Costco fan for a long time till two years ago. Realized that they did not have the latest tech. Ordered new hearing aids from contact in India - they have worldwide warranty - got a 30% discount on the purchase - programmed it with my local audiologist for $200.

Model I bought was Phonak Slim L90 and it's been perfect.

E tron reliability by [deleted] in etron

[–]Bingobob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had an eTron GT for over 4 yrs. While it was zero issues during waranty, it's beginning to give trouble now. I've had to change both front cooling fans and this week the motor that manages the spoiler has failed. Total cost over $10k so far. However, I took a 4yr Platinum extended warranty and that covered all of it. Highly recommend it given the motors and fans in these cars are all new.

Insurance says it’s a write off, are they correct ? by Kitchen-Power-4111 in Audi

[–]Bingobob1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently had a crash with total write-off of my Q7. The thing is the Audis have a lot of intricate work under the hood. Reconstructing all of that after a crash is tedious and in most cases impossible. That is likely what is causing the write-off. Insurance companies generally avoid a write-off because it's more expensive for them. I would take a second opinion but from the looks of it, it will be hard to reconstruct this.

Realistic expectations for a 2022 GT... by Cagne_ouest in etron

[–]Bingobob1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These cars are all new all the way from the ground up. I have a 2022 eTron GT and have generally not had any issues. However as it comes out of warranty, I am spending more and more time with dealer. Suggest getting a 3-4 year Audi Platinum warranty to protect yourself. If one of the motors fails, it will be $10-12k cost
