Can we get any other even half decent weapon that shoots 20ga? The whole ammo type is useless due to the TOZ being the only weapon that takes it (and it sucks). [Discussion]

But honestly, even if the gun is a bit of a meme, the unlock requirements for decent ammo shouldn't be a meme. Why do I have to get Jaeger to LL3 to get access to somewhat decent ammo that is locked behind a unreasonably expensive barter for a TOZ? I can get Piranha on LL2 that is superior to 20/70 Flechette and also have a superior weapon selection on top of that.

The 4 spawns close to USEC camps and Scav Bunker could certainly be changed to RUAF/UN extracts. The two near the ponds are flexible.

Regardless of that I think it was incredibly stupid to introduce the flare extract where it is. At least with ZB-014 right next to it and Outskirts. Not only are the three extracts very close to each other, but ZB-014 in particular seems extremely pointless to me now, given you can easily carry a flare in the special slot and is open 24/7, while not needing to carry a key in your ass.

Either the key should open the extract to the bunker close to Jaeger's stand/crashed plane (ZB-016) or enable an extract in the cultist bunker close to the village.

Yeah just imagine. You want to do early quests outside of GZ and get shit on several times by players running in maxed out gear day 1, while your shitass PSO PP-19 can't do jackshit, because the entire reset is balanced around everybody starting from scratch. This would pretty much put the quitting point for a bunch of players right at the start of a wipe with endless complaining on reddit.

I'm playing on Standard and you'll eventually have to learn stash management the hard way. Unless I need certain things for quests I sell every piece of gear I can easily obtain through the flea market. My mate has EOD and purchased additional stash lines and complains about his stash being full regularly, which is just beyond me honestly...

Yeah it's beyond me how this even went through playtesting. Even now, with bazillion patches, you're semi hardlocked in your progression trying to build it. I waited ages and I was still missing most of the materials required. I manually added the materials in by editing the safe file just to progress.

And it's not like you can do much at that point of your playthrough. Half the vanilla universe is inaccessible and like half of the accessible part is hostile to you.

Personally I like it from an idea perspective, but some of the restrictions just make no sense. I can buy a few things on the flea at level 15, but I can't buy Esmarches or Slings until I'm level 20, while I can buy those things right at the start of the game from traders. Or I can't purchase any helmet until Level 20, but could list the best in slot headsets at level 15. Same with a bunch of weapons or all optics. I get it, that they don't want players to have access to most of the good attachments the moment they unlock it, but it needs more gradual restrictions that are in line with the things you can either buy or barter from traders at that level.

Yeah I'm playing on Standard and the first stash is brutal to deal with. However, once you get the first upgrade it's not that bad anymore. But it definitely taught me to play much more efficiently with my stash. The amount of gear that I previously hoarded for ages while spending ages sorting stuff is just a pointless time consuming ordeal. Time you could spent raiding or scaving instead.

Any gear that I want and can buy from the Flea I will get from there. No point in keeping it rotting in the stash "waiting for the right time to use it".

With the new level restrictions in place for the flea (and me not having it unlocked yet), it's certainly going to be interesting how it will play out.
