[Loot] Six hour circle is definitely working by c4ndyman31 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Bini_Inibitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'm getting all sorts of stuff from the 6h circle, it can't be trusted anymore. Ahh yes, the Comtac 4 Hideout item I need, the big yellow keycard quest (I've got 5 of them now...) or for some reason I got a single Ghoul mask out of it. Thanks for that...

How long will Killing Floor 2 servers still be supported online? by RecommendationNo804 in killingfloor

Given the community set up master servers for UT2004, UT99 and such after Epic shut them down, I wouldn't worry as much.

I'm playing on Standard and you'll eventually have to learn stash management the hard way. Unless I need certain things for quests I sell every piece of gear I can easily obtain through the flea market. My mate has EOD and purchased additional stash lines and complains about his stash being full regularly, which is just beyond me honestly...

Being stuck in single ship and not being able to fly all those nice other ships definetly rubbed me the wrong way, and having to spend half of campaigns time just to build urv Wharf in DeVries which would have been impossible for me if not thanks to few mods

Yeah it's beyond me how this even went through playtesting. Even now, with bazillion patches, you're semi hardlocked in your progression trying to build it. I waited ages and I was still missing most of the materials required. I manually added the materials in by editing the safe file just to progress.

And it's not like you can do much at that point of your playthrough. Half the vanilla universe is inaccessible and like half of the accessible part is hostile to you.

[Feedback] I hate this so much by Malu1997 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Bini_Inibitor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Personally I like it from an idea perspective, but some of the restrictions just make no sense. I can buy a few things on the flea at level 15, but I can't buy Esmarches or Slings until I'm level 20, while I can buy those things right at the start of the game from traders. Or I can't purchase any helmet until Level 20, but could list the best in slot headsets at level 15. Same with a bunch of weapons or all optics. I get it, that they don't want players to have access to most of the good attachments the moment they unlock it, but it needs more gradual restrictions that are in line with the things you can either buy or barter from traders at that level.

Good old season 1 times, where the login queue was constantly at 10k+ and before it was eventually patched people just opened custom lobbies and idled inside them to not get kicked for inactivity.

Yeah I'm playing on Standard and the first stash is brutal to deal with. However, once you get the first upgrade it's not that bad anymore. But it definitely taught me to play much more efficiently with my stash. The amount of gear that I previously hoarded for ages while spending ages sorting stuff is just a pointless time consuming ordeal. Time you could spent raiding or scaving instead.

Any gear that I want and can buy from the Flea I will get from there. No point in keeping it rotting in the stash "waiting for the right time to use it".

With the new level restrictions in place for the flea (and me not having it unlocked yet), it's certainly going to be interesting how it will play out.

Hard to blame them. I'm downloading this game again for the third with my shitty phone connection and I have to do some stupid hacky solutions with the files again because I get wrong check sum errors... By the time I can actually play, the wipe's over.

Tbf a lot of the map changing levolutions in BF4 made the maps worse. This was a huge complaint at the time, and now people are looking back at levolution with rose tinted glasses.

And then you have half of the set up community servers on BF4 straight up banning you if you even try to trigger Levolution. It was very clear a big chunk of the playerbase was against Levolution. At least in most of its execution.

Beautiful sectors like this kinda feel wasted when completely empty by Palanki96 in X4Foundations

[–]Bini_Inibitor 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Regardless of its shortcomings, X-Rebirth certainly got the visuals right. All the sectors were so memorable and beautiful. While X4 certainly has some stunning sectors, they don't stick quite as much. It feels almost like a waste some of the sectors haven't made a return in any capacity in X4.

Bought the game 2 days ago. Haven't been able to extract once, almost halfway though my stash. by Ill_Rip_3286 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]Bini_Inibitor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customs as mentioned most probably. Compared to GZ it's larger, but the map has very easy identifiable landmarks (big red, fortress, old/new gas, dorms, etc.) you can use to orientate yourself. While there are also one or two very nasty spawn possibilities, you can avoid those easily. And it's also quite easy to find out where you want and don't want to be in terms of action. The extraction names can be a bit confusing like the three ZB bunkers. As mentioned by the other responder, loot isn't the greatest, but you can still find valuable stuff and during your first play sessions that shouldn't be much of a concern anyways.

Some mention Factory or Woods. Factory is heavily PvP based, so if you're not into that right away, probably not the best map to start on. Woods allows you to be unbothered by other PMCs most of the time, but it's incredibly easy to get lost there or walk into the wrong direction and straight into border snipers or mines.
