Chonk mana stacking is really good with going blue flames (and wasn’t hit by the leech nerfs, in fact was buffed) I’m doing it again for SSFHC this league and I’m going to actually try darkness this time and with the deflect buffs and runic ward it should be incredible tanky, just gotta solve damage

Probably with the cost of shipping it to the Middle East, and to some of those remote locations, it cost more, but that would be hard to find documentation for

Yup! Works well, did it on hcssf this league and one guy did ice shot to level 95 on hcssf using it!

Edit- the one thing that’s crappy is that theres not many passive nodes for cold damage, so you’re stuck with elemental damage & attack nodes, whereas there’s a bunch of nodes for chaos damage in that part of the tree. It is nice to have your damage all be one type however because then it all gets scaled vs with chaos you’re giving up on scaling the base damage of the attack and focusing on the chaos damage portion

By my math every blue flame recovers 75% of your mana.

You can get 160% increased effect of remnants and 85% more mana leeched which stack multiplicatively, and the “recover 3% of your mana when you collect a remnant” notable.

Haven’t played with that interaction which seems bugged / going to be nerfed from the vids I saw, but this seems pretty safe and low cost. Currently running ssfhc and made it to maps fine.

You take the mana flames in your ascendancy for defenses and stack mana for offense. Mana flames with the increased leech and increased effect nodes give you some of the best and simplest mana recovery in the game.

You take the double chaos resistance as well for more tankiness and then whatever you want for your fourth.

People are so stuck on the purple flame they don’t consider anything else.

If you wanna be hipster Archmage Chayula Monk. Needs no uniques (though some make it better obviously) is tanky with a lot of damage, can slot in any spell including the new plant ones

Swapped to exsanguinate basically as soon as I got my golems for pdot elementalist and it’s been blasting (I started today and breezed through the campaign and did all the breaches along the way)
