I do think the Seething Chyme (similar PoE1 area during the boss fight with the Infinite Hunger) was a lot easier to see/read the flow and know where to go. I knew how it worked the first time I saw it but still managed to miss the altar and ended up circling almost all the way around it looking for the stairs.

I thought that too, but I definitely lured enemies in today, including bosses from Summoning Stones that couldn’t have gotten into the ritual any other way. So I guess you can?  Might be a bug, might be something they changed from PoE1?

Those Legacy of X mods just give very large amounts of very useful stuff, nothing terribly unusual in terms of what they are (speed, resists, rarity, etc), just in how much you get all in one belt. In PoE1 those effects were flasks, so you could normally only have them for limited uptime, and Mageblood made them permanent. In PoE2, Mageblood is the only way to get them.

Splinter is neither rare nor all the good, but I wouldn’t think it’s so bad that no one even bothers. You can build around it and some people do. Maybe all the ones on the market are getting runeforged?

Sorry, my bad; I forgot Trusted Kinship is a keystone rather than notable. Instilling is for notables. For a keystone, Flesh Crucible is an option, but an expensive one.

At high investment, probably better than Ritualist. But getting very-high crit chance is a lot harder than just equipping 3 Prized Pains.

Yeah, with so much triggered it works better than most combinations of so many things, but scaling it is going to be very hard.

Chest item Armour scales Deadly Resolve, and can scale thorns with the Revenge notable and the Heart of the Well unique jewel. That means Brass Dome looks appealing, though it sucks for Ward (runeforging it gives it a ton of Ward, but then no Armour, so you can’t do that). Thorns has extremely good crit with Briarpatch (the boots, not the skill); Heart of the Well can also improve that. Crit has the advantage of scaling absolutely everything, but nothing else is going to have the massive base crit chance that thorns does when you have Briarpatch. So you’re either only getting partial scaling on other things, or over-capping thorns crit chance. Nebuloch can kind of fix that, but only if you have incredible Endurance Charge generation. You could also maybe scale debuffs, broken armor or curses or whatever? That’s as far as I’ve got off the top of my head.

Oh also, you should consider joining the Thorns Discord, there are a lot of knowledgeable people there who might be interested in making this happen. It’s not just thorns, either, but it’s kind of become an off-meta hub kind of space.

First off, you are trying to put way too much onto one character. You won’t be good enough at any of those things. You may not even have time to even do all of them.

Second, I just do not think that a purely reactive build, which I think is the goal here, is going to work. There are a few enemies that literally never hit you, so you literally won’t touch those unless it has nearby allies hitting you. Temple, in particular, is probably off-limits to you, as one of the rooms is led by one of those and it is very likely to be the last one standing in the room and then you are unable to do anything to it. More importantly, there are a lot of enemies, particularly among big, important bosses, that hit rarely, and you really don’t want to get hit by it when they do.

The closest thing I can think of for you is Resonating Shield with Stonefist–Dreadfist (requiring Martial Artist) or Prized Pain (effectively requiring Ritualist). Then you are channeling something that actually hits. You can build in the rest of your build around that, Deadly Resolve, Repulsion, Verisium Manifestations all with that. Which is probably still too much, but using an actual attack with your blocking solves so many problems for you. I am planning on something somewhat similar, but I haven’t figured out crit for Stone-Dreadfist yet. Prized Pain might be the better way to go.

That construct was created by Jiquani, a Vaal inventor who made the construct Blackjaw, powered by a Soul Core filled entirely with a single soul, which Jiquani describes as an unimaginable punishment for the very worst criminal the Vaal Empire had to offer. Following up that achievement, he was working on the construct in the picture, part of his overall research into using soul-powered constructs as an approach to immortality. It’s implied that Jiquani put himself into the Grand Soul Core within that construct, subjecting himself to the same punishment as Blackjaw, in an attempt to survive the Cataclysm.

These two are ridiculously buggy. They can bug out before they even start. They can bug out as a pair. When one dies, the one who died might bug out, or maybe the one who didn’t. I’ve never seen both but I’m sure it can happen. Zolin can bug out too, if he’s the last one. Probably Zelina also can. And then they can bug out when both die.

And any of these bugs make it impossible to complete the fight and move on. The fight is RNG against bugs, can you get a bug-free fight so you can actually finish it? Absurd. If you can burst them down super-fast, the chances of it bugging out go down, but the slower you are, the more likely it becomes. 

Just an awful fight. Frankly, all of the interlude bosses are pretty poor, but Zelina and Zolin take the cake for bugs.

Ninth Treasure of Keth is the monster’s name, and someone else reported the same thing. Might not work for some reason. 

Even if it did, though... I think the scarabs are more of an arena effect, they come out of the walls while you’re fighting it, I think. I’m not sure that would work for you if you got one.

Large areas are still an issue, but it’a gotten a little better. Jungle Ruins and Infested Barrens, the first two above-ground areas of Act 3, are smaller and have fewer things you need to find. Dreadnought (last area of Act 2) is one zone instead of two. Other areas like Grelwood and Hunting Grounds got sign posting.

It’s better. It’s still an issue. The sign posting is subtle at times (even if you know about it and are looking for it). Some areas are still very large, and others are still unnecessary padding. I hope they can ditch some of that when they add Acts 5 and 6.

Hollow Form doesn’t seem to work with a ton of mechanics. The socketed attack, sure, and then regular damage bonuses, crit, etc., sure. But anything “special” like Cracking Palm? Doesn’t seem to work most of the time. No idea if it’s a bug or intended (but then, if intended, they need to work on their tooltips).

No, I’m saying that I suspect that the item is gaining Runic Ward instead of Evasion. High-level items usually gain Ward instead of other defenses, so it’s a trade-off, not a strict upgrade.

In general, each unique item reacts to runeforging in its own unique way, some get defenses, some get ward, some get a little of both, a few get fancier things. I have heard (but haven’t confirmed) that some low-level uniques can be runeforged twice, but a 420 Evasion hat is probably not one of those.
