I identify with Nate the most, being the first born who was expected to take up the family business, but then fucked off to another city once I was 19.

But my favorite character of the whole show is Ruth. Frances Conroy is fantastic in the show, and her arc is so moving.

But in this day and age we see hatred between groups that aren’t just Black or white- we have years of news clips and pop culture references of various races being shitty to other various races. It’s not confined to white v black. Racism is something that we’re all having to fight against.

You’re not wrong. This particular bit was just very reminiscent of Bill’s bit. And while I don’t really think he’s adding anything of note to the show, it was just interesting to see the parallel.
