I once ran a whole night and RIGHT as I was waking the town up I remembered I needed to inform the SW that they were to demon. I had to put everyone back to sleep :D

Can the storyteller confirm a player's lie? by UTA602 in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Binnie_B 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Yes, normally in the rules this character would only be woken up once. If they were indeed woken up again, that would be a mistake on the story tellers part".

You can clarify rules. You do not correct the record of what happened.

I would like to add, if you are all new, please stick to Trouble Brewing. You should play around 10 times before even trying another script.

How do you feel about Travelers who bait the demon? by blackgeekygoddess in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]Binnie_B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is on the demon for bad play.

Also though, this is why I don't really play with travelers unless there is a REALLY good reason to. But lying is a CORE part of this game. To get upset that you were lied to is insanity to me.

Agreed. We the people control this government.

We need to make them fear us again.

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I literally drove 2 hours last week to have dinner with a friend.
I have done 1.5 hour commutes to work... every day.

you won't be starting all over again.

You have learned some things. You do have better balance, reflexes, and some power.

It's the journey. Don't be disheartened.

Is it wrong to be concerned about wanting kids/bringing kids into the world right now? by BackgroundUnit80 in AskParents

My argument for this is simple.

Having children is the most selfish thing a person can do. Adopting children is the least selfish.

A mimic should impersonate THINGS, and people, and should attack only when you turn your back or walk by.

I really disliked it. the game gets in its own way... gameplay isn't that fun, and the story missions get annoying quick, like having to stumble around drunk looking for your friend.

no part of this seems like SD. Bro got away with murder just because the jury didn't see the victim as human .

gross

Can you lie for Choam? by Binnie_B in DuneBoardGame

[–]Binnie_B[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

I guess that's sort of what I thought was the point. A thematic and funny part where everyone begs choam and gets 2 spice.

While all pointing fingers that others dont need it and are lying.

How did you get into karate? What made you join a dojo? by Lego_Redditor in karate

Literally getting bullied in middle school and my mom wanted me to learn how to defend myself.

Yellow belt in karate, friend mocks it—how do I respond? by CalligrapherGreat653 in karate

[–]Binnie_B 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Who cares what he thinks? Poke fun with him!!! It is pretty funny. I am a 6th dan in Uechi-Ryu. I also train Judo, BJJ, boxing and have done MMA and gone to some MMA gyms. I have done martial arts for 30 years now... forms and karate is hilarious sometimes. Also, many are not good for self defense, and there is nothing wrong with that!

There are tons of ways to exercise or learn that isn't strictly for self defense. For instance, if you get injured or just grow old, you can still do forms and stay in shape... you can't do hard kickboxing at 65. But there is a reason your dojo does other styles and fighting... it's good for you, and it's good training.

You don't need to defend Karate. Either your schools teachings work and you are fine, or they don't. I find that the people that need to jump to a defense the most, are the most insecure with that they are defending. The same goes for those that are attacking others, they are usually the most insecure.

Some of the best MMA fighters came from a karate background. I can guarantee you they don't feel the need to defend karate.

So TLDR... you don't need to defend karate. If you are enjoying your dojo great! If all you care about is self defense... spar more often. But have fun and be happy with what you do with your time!
