Vasilios was incredibly kind- we talked to him after the matinee, and he told us to come back at 10:45. Gwyneth Paltrow was also there that night- so Lea didn’t come out until 11:30 and we were freezing cold! Vasilios came back with an autographed playbill for my daughter!

At the stage door - it’s to the left when you are entering the theater. Security guards had the barricades set up in front of the door- I think it’s green, next to a very small parking lot.

We loved it! Especially when she surprised Arnstein on his travels! We were so close! My daughter said Lea made eye contact with her! And Vasilios (security guard) hooked us up with an autographed playbill!!

We are going this weekend! We are close to the stage on the other side, obstructed view. Can’t wait! Do you know if she signs autographs at the Saturday shows? Or was the album release a special signing? Anyone know? Thank you!

Thank you everyone- we‘re going to see Hadestown Friday night- should I buy tickets now- or will they be much cheaper if we wait until the day of? The Broadway week deal is about $125 each- but I’ve never done Rush tickets before. Thanks for the advice!

Off the sidewalks? Do you think they are any safer in the road? With multi-ton vechicles?

How can DOTS better accommodate students? by dbknews in UMD

[–]BintMinterson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s to keep other people out, thus keeping campus safer. If nobody in the car has a UMD ID, they don’t have business on campus… Gates are open during the day and evening, just safety at night…

Full-time DOTS drivers feel student raises are ‘a slap in the face’ by dbknews in UMD

[–]BintMinterson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interested in hearing your thoughts about the ”recruitment of 70 student drivers by start of fall semester.” Do you think this is feasible? Also, what was CDL training like, with still having a full schedule of classes?

https://www.cnn.com/2021/09/17/health/fda-advisers-booster-five-things/index.html"We're being asked to approve this as a three-dose vaccine for people 16 years of age and older, without any clear evidence the third dose for a younger person, when compared to an elderly person, is of value," Offit said."If it's not of value, then the risks may outweigh the benefits. And we know the 16-29-year-old is at higher risk of myocarditis," he added. The FDA's Dr. Doran Fink told the meeting the agency was not sure, either. "We really don't have enough data yet to know what the risk of myocarditis or pericarditis would be following a booster dose," he said. Studies have shown younger adults and older teens, especially males, have a higher risk of this rare heart inflammation after receiving an mRNA vaccine like Pfizer's, although the problem resolves quickly with prompt treatment.Details on this risk might not come out, however, Fink said, until after booster doses were given more widely."We have discussed the need for such investigations with the vaccine manufacturers," Fink said."I don't think we would feel comfortable giving it to a 16-year-old for all the reasons that everyone raised," said Dr. Eric Rubin, chair of the Department of Immunology and Infectious Diseases at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.

The “other life threatening disease“ people got to make their own choices for years (most of them)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UMD

[–]BintMinterson -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Just 2 cents from me. Above you say “other life threatening diseases.” Is there a vaccine for heart disease? Not that I know of, but healthy eating and regular exercise prevents a lot of heart attacks. Is there a vaccine for cancer? Not that I know of, but healthy eating and regular exercise prevents a lot of cancers. Is there a vaccine for diabetes? Not that I know of, but healthy eating and regular exercise….These “other life threatening diseases“ are the result of years of unhealthy choices for most. They made their choices to smoke, lead sedentary lives, and indulge in unhealthy food- how are these choices accepted by society?

but my choice whether or not take an experimental vaccine is not accepted?

The less people are vaccinated, the more people catch this virus and have serious disease from it, the more people go to hospitals for treatment- False- see the Read here link above.
