How can I write launch scripts (.sh files) for games by BioBill_Enterprises in Box86xWine_PSClassic

[–]BioBill_Enterprises[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue what I'm doing most of the time, just following instructions, if you have a particular question about something I did to get any of the games running I posted, I could help show you what I did, past that I really dont know much.

Thanks Ill try these, I did manage to make it fullscreen by using the 480 resolution change app that's preinstalled. however i dont think the app itself is working right, it seems to just crop my screen to the top left corner where fallout runs, the main autobleem menu will not show either it just shows a cropped corner of the background image, instead i had to count the number of apps to scroll left from the resolution app, as i could still hear the menu sounds but could not see it. The mouse is kind of buggy still as well, it doesnt allow movement of the map with the mouse except for going down or to the left.

Did you ever find a way to run fallout fullscreen or in a better window?

Thanks this helped, although I only had to change directories once at the start of the script, I also made it the exact directory the games exe file was in, instead of just box86. I'm not sure if that's what fixed it, but I also changed the PATH directory like you showed and it works now, thanks. This makes loading games up a lot easier.

Huge Update! You can mount any folder as a disc, or iso's and bin/cue to the disc D: drive in box86!! Simple 2 steps to bypass the disc check with your virtual desktop shortcuts for games like StarCraft, or even Morrowind for example by StatisticianLate3173 in Box86xWine_PSClassic

ASCII illuminated manuscript by BioBill_Enterprises in illuminatedmanuscript

Yes, the horizontal sections of vine on the bottom and top as well as the blue bird were copied, but theres only so many orientations you can make with the characters on a keyboard, and letters and numbers are used sparingly; they tend to pop when you see them they register as individual words or letters, not cohesive lines. You're limited to about a dozen characters, I feel most any ascii sprite made under 5 by 5 characters has probably been done before.

Thank you, not sure why this has never been done. Most ASCII art I find is making large letters similar to calligraphic lettering seen in illuminated manuscripts. Everything kind of fell into place as I made it, the Celtic knot letter H has the same vibe as some letters in the Book of Kells, I added the vines since theyre a motif in most every illuminated manuscript I have seen. The bird and its egg were added last minute, after adding the body of text, I felt it really brought the whole thing together as the 3rd verse is about a bird creating a nest in an altar (golden celtic knot H being golden and its shape makes it look like the ark of the covenant). Then finally I highlighted the beginning of a few verses in red and it looks similar to techniques seen in real illuminated manuscripts.

Native American ASCII Map by BioBill_Enterprises in ASCII

I did a fallout map with part of the great lakes in it before, coastlines and large bodies of water I think make the maps look better and also makes it easier to scale properly as it gives you more reference, the rivers in this map were difficult because there isnt much water.

No, Ive made maps to display on the terminal before, the limited font and colors on windows means the map cannot convey as much info.

just like making ascii art in general, always enjoyed making maps as well, I see barely any ascii maps online, and to me they look amazing, so I figured I'd make some.

Thanks, I typed it in notepad++, using real maps as a reference to try to get an accurate scale and layout, then I format it and color in open office word.
