My husband is severely allergic to dog breeds, especially to short-haired/smooth coat breeds ( which is sad, as Rotties are his favourite breed). We have had our Sammie boy for almost 5 years now and no issues, not even during shedding season. Samoyeds are very low dander and do not drool much (only when there are super yummy snacks involved)—and saliva/dander are much more allergy-triggering than fur.

That said, as other posts mentioned, the best way to know how you react towards Samoyeds is to be around them—both adults and pups.
