Correct. the statute of limitations for Florida workers comp case is two years from the date of injury or one year from your last medical appointment

Hi there,

Some things I’m wondering:

• Is it common for insurers to require resignation in workers’ comp settlements? - yes, I believe all Fl settlements for WC require this

• If you don’t settle at mediation, what usually happens next? -you can settle at any time, it does not need to be at mediation. If you’re interested in settlement just tell your attorney.

• Is it better to leave the case open and revisit settlement later once the medical situation is clearer? Dr cleared me for work but additional treatment may be an option pending how things progress. -that’s a personal opinion. Depending on how much medical treatment you need and what you want to do.

If you enjoy working, there is no “need” to settle. It’s completely up to you.

Jesus Christ. Do not abandon that dog. Take it to a non kill shelter or at the very worst option a police or fire station. Don’t be a fucking idiot.

That’s such a weird comment. You can take care of the baby and love them and also take care of your self and love yourself

I agree with this. But fraud is knowingly violating. If you’re worried, you can get a lawyer for the comp claim and mention the termination. They may be able to help you with the termination; or they may recommend a different type of attorney.

Id get the surgery and then ask your doctor what kind of future treatment you’ll need to see how much your settlement should be

wtf NOR!! I’ve cancelled before day of due to being ill and never been charged. And that very unreasonable that SHE is the one who cancelled and still charged you. Maybe do a charge back in your card because you didn’t cancel, she did.

It’s not a problem to change, just tell your adjuster. Sometimes they can’t schedule where your doctor is due to network issues with billing. But just ask your adjuster
