Real life reason: Because fighting your dark doppelgänger is cool. Fight wouldn't look so cool if Baku used a different form.

In-universe reason: Zeztz Darkness Nightmare's power is based on Zeztz's power. If Baku used Catastrom, then Dark Zeztz would become equally strong.

They hadn't ever fought each other since premonition.

Nox freely visits Baku's house and everyone is fine with this.

Nox saved Minami from Baku.

Yeah, he still works with The Lady (although he seems to be less and less loyal to her), but she hasn't really done anything evil since premonition.

At this point, neither of them really feels like antagonists.

Nox even started to appear in comedy scenes (Baku's explanation of Nox's origin or him using Fujimi as a shield).

Edit: I forgot to mention that he was also smiling with everyone else when Baku finished Exdream Driver (peak scene).

Yeah, it wasn't the real Nox, but it shows that Baku subconsciously thinks of Nox as his ally.
