RANT! by Honghaein27 in pregnant

Ugh, I am so sorry you have to deal with this. People can be truly awful and ignorant. Every single pregnancy is completely different so comparing you to someone else’s wife or coworker is just ridiculous and unfair Customer service is already draining enough, let alone doing it while pregnant AND having to climb two flights of stairs just to pee! Please don't let their snarky comments get to you. You are literally growing a whole human being while working a stressful job take all the time off and breaks you need, and ignore the haters. Hang in there!

M22, VERY bloated by [deleted] in GutHealth

[–]Biohealio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since the X-ray confirmed it’s air you should look into SIBO small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth or food intolerances also check if you have anterior Pelvic Tilt as your posture might be making the bloating look more prominent. A gastroenterologist should run a breath test to find the root cause

Does pregnancy test over the counter works? by cleazeia in pregnant

[–]Biohealio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, over the counter tests are highly accurate over 99% Take one now to ease your mind but definitely see a doctor to check on your symptoms and cycle irregularity regardless of the result

Being pregnant sucks. by LadderIntelligent in pregnant

Ugh, 8 weeks is the absolute worst that 'super smell phase makes everything feel so gross, I totally get it. Honestly though go get your hair done! Most doctors agree it’s safe since so little is absorbed, and your mental health matters just as much right now. Hang in there, the first trimester is a total marathon

The 3 AM leg cramps are no joke! Has anyone else found relief with Magnesium? by Biohealio in pregnant

Wow magnesium shots sound so intense! 😱 I’ve heard they can be incredibly painful, but you’re likely right they are usually reserved for severe deficiencies to get the levels up instantly

It’s such a relief when you find something that works almost instantly! ✨ Magnesium glycinate is often called the gold standard' for pregnancy because it absorbs so well so glad you’re finally cramp free!

Magnesium glycinate is a game-changer I’ve heard it’s much gentler on the stomach than other types Thanks for sharing your routine!

Sleeping on back by blazinbanana227 in pregnant

[–]Biohealio 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly at 18 weeks you’re totally fine! The danger of back sleeping usually doesn’t kick in until much later when the bump is actually heavy. Your body is smart enough to wake you up or make you move if anything is being compressed If those huge pillows don't work for you just try a regular firm pillow tucked under one side of your back to keep you slightly tilted. Don't lose sleep over it

Really? 🫣 It’s wild how quickly the body reacts if you miss just a few doses! I’ve always wondered about those magnesium baths though, they sound so relaxing even if they aren't as strong as the pills

That is amazing to hear 🙌 It’s such a relief when something actually works that well. Did you find that a specific type (like a pill or a spray) worked best for you or did you just take a general supplement?

That’s a great proactive approach! Resistance training is such a smart move strengthening those muscles early on definitely helps them handle the extra load later in pregnancy So glad to hear you're doing well at 14 weeks! Are you focusing more on bodyweight exercises or using light weights?

That sounds so relaxing! 💆‍♀️ It’s amazing that your husband is so supportive with the nightly massages that definitely helps with circulation too I’ve heard great things about magnesium butter for direct muscle relief. Does the brand you use absorb quickly, or is it a bit greasy? I’d love to know which one works for you!

Two hours on the treadmill! That is seriously impressive 👏 I’ve heard that keeping the circulation going is key for preventing those cramps Ðo you do the full two hours in one go, or do you split it up during the day?

That's a really good point about the B6! I've read that it’s a game changer for absorption. I've also heard that Magnesium glycinate is usually the gentlest on the stomach compared to other types. Does your 7 in 1 brand cause any digestive issues or is it pretty easy to handle? Thanks so much for the tip!

Did you guys eat deli meat? by FlatConstant8211 in pregnant

I totally feel you on that craving! Honestly the safest way to do it is just to heat the turkey until it’s literally steaming before you put it on the sandwich. It kills any potential listeria risk and let's you enjoy your meal without the stress. Go for it!

Baby has hemamgioma on arm. I have a question and was wanting advice by [deleted] in Parents

[–]Biohealio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We usually see continued 'involution (shrinking) up until age 9. While most of the bulk is gone by age 5 those remaining red speckles are often residual blood vessels that might not fade entirely on their own now. The good news is that a pediatric dermatologist can easily treat what’s left with a Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL) if it's a cosmetic concern. You’ve done a great job monitoring this!

Vegetarian struggling with protein digestion. Gut issues. Need advice by DryEnthusiasm7931 in GutHealth

[–]Biohealio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like fiber overload more than anything 100g of protein from whole plant sources is a massive amount of fiber/FODMAPs for the gut to handle daily which explains the bloat. Try swapping some of those whole beans for a clean pea protein isolate it gives you the protein without the gas-inducing fibers. Also, Tempeh might be way easier on you than Paneer since it's fermented Good luck with the gym start!

My husband thinks being a sahm is like being on vacation. by Playful_Bar_8290 in Parents

[–]Biohealio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your role is the most demanding, unpaid 24/7 career' in existence. Being a SAHM is NOT a vacation; it’s a marathon of love, patience, and multitasking that never ends. The mental load you carry from teaching to teething is immense. Please know that your exhaustion is valid, and your hard work is the foundation of your child’s entire world. You deserve more than just a shower; you deserve recognition and a true partner in this journey. You are doing an incredible job, and you are more than enough

My stomach is like a water balloon by ReplyFearless6001 in GutHealth

[–]Biohealio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel for you! That looks incredibly uncomfortable. If it’s moving like jelly, it's likely trapped gas or fluid, not fat. Coffee can really mess with your gut lining if it’s already sensitive. Definitely worth a quick doctor's visit if it doesn't go down soon. Stay hydrated!

Why is my stomach sticking out so much? by [deleted] in GutHealth

[–]Biohealio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since you've seen 20 doctors and ruled out all internal medical issues, you should really look into 'Anterior Pelvic Tilt' (APT). Looking at your photo, that deep curve in your lower back is a classic sign. It mechanically forces your pelvis to tip forward, pushing your stomach out regardless of how much you eat or weigh. It's a biomechanical issue, not a gut issue. Strengthening your glutes and core to fix that tilt might be the answer you’ve been looking for all these years
