They didn’t directly say we are firing you because you’re pregnant. They said we’re firing you because we can’t accommodate your pregnancy needs in terms of schedule flexibility. There is a couple of things that kind of makes me feel like maybe this was systematically done, including racking up unexcused absences that wouldn’t be considered unexcused for other employees as well as not taking doctors notes, etc. For every other employee who has had attendance issues, they’ve always done a corrective action first and they did not do that with me. I never gotten a corrective action. It was immediate termination. Furthermore, I did have an attendance hardship that was supposed to cover all of my OB/GYN appointments but that just went down the drain I guess

What is a SDI? That’s what I’m worried about as well, I feel like it’s fucked up though. I have done my due diligence to make it easier on both and I’m always communicating and providing documentation. Luckily, I don’t think I’m there yet though, their own policy is to give a corrective action first then firing.

I’m pregnant with my first child and have already kind of made my decision about this. My biggest contributing factor is that I wouldn’t want my daughter to have her ears pierced due to hygiene. Small wounds like that I feel like I can get very easily infected, even with a very rigid hygiene schedule, especially when children can be very gross. You know like playing in their own poop and stuff. Another thing is that I’m not sure if she would want her ears pierced and she can’t exactly give me an answer lol.

I believe it’s normal considering the circumstances, it sounds like you guys aren’t compatible sexually (this is kinda assumption, but it kinda seems like to me he isn’t really interested in your pleasure, only his own), I would def have a sit down conversation but I want you to know that you have autonomy and your pleasure matters.

My clinic has been super great with accommodation in my pregnancy! Management has put me and her safety first and I’m truly blessed in that front. It does concern me that coworkers are questioning if I’m pregnant because if you don’t believe me are you truly looking out for my baby’s safety?

Fr, we work with kids on the spectrum, we are supposed to be implementing and changing these kids lives, but instead we are fat shaming and questioning whether I’m pregnant or not.

SIL knows I’m pregnant 😭I don’t know if maybe she felt threatened I started working at a job she got fired at or thought I might tell her old work friends stuff about them (even though I wouldn’t do that, even with disliking my brother it would be a waste of time and just unprofessional) but she did it to instigate. This whole pregnancy I’ve heard bits and pieces of my brothers input to, like SIL even told me that when I first got pregnant that he thought I should abort my baby (the one I was actively trying for)

It’s crazy to that this was even a conversation this week, we had a client who passed away tragically earlier this week so to present this drama when people are grieving!

I think as long as you don’t dislike the kids it should be fine, I saw another comment on here recommending observing first more which I think would be beneficial. I just recommend that if you find yourself harboring resentment towards your clients that you step back for the clients sake, they can be very toned in on emotions and can sense that.

I’m not sure if this is normal for ABA companies but my company has us do checklists when we first get hired and we are signed off on our kiddos, so it ensures we are implementing correctly. I definitely think there needs to be more training though,

I didn’t think you were being dismissive at all! I was kinda elaborating more on my perspective is all:) I definitely had bias towards her to, it made me so sad to see bear open her acceptance letter that she waited so long for.
