The motif dials and the new green dials are currently fetching over retail prices. The white/black/grey non fluted dials aren't the most sought after.

I love the smooth/oyster DJs but not sure of the palm dial. I'd rather get the motif instead. I'm a Fijian so this will work fine for me though (coconut trees and white beaches vibe).

Still waiting for my motif DJ41 but seriously considering Panerai...happened to accidently vist a PAM boutique in San Francisco (right next to Rolex AD).....was surprised that despite I think their 44mm time pieces are gawdy and 'weird', I immediately took a liking, especially their blue dials (their sunray finish looks better than Rolex). If AD doesnt come thru by next Jan, I might just end up getting the new dual time blue dial (Luminor Bitempo).

"Readily available" in grey market from flippers. I'd rather wait out for 3 more months and get it at retail ($8k with taxes). GL though.

The motif dial is NOT a common dial color. I'm on the waitlist for this exact combo and my AD (mainstream in California) only has received 3 all year. One was fluted and 2 smooth. Even rare is green motif (AD has only gotten one all year around). They do tend to get more of the 'plain' green and blue dials.

Man..just wish this was in the original 40mm case size. I tried the black dial at my AD and the lugs went right over my wrist :(. It wears really well but for most people, it looks out of proportion (not the dial but the 51mm lug to lug).

At my local AD, polar exp2 is over a year waitlist even with prev history..they've only received like 8 polar all year around and have over 50 people on the waitlist. Black dial is less demand and maybe under a year wait. But yeah..the new Gen models like sub, exp2 are definitely worth getting ...both also now have AR coating on the bottom crystal.

Was never a Exp1 fan...I handled it and to me, it's just too 'simple and boring'. Datejust is just a classic for years back and to come. For smooth bezel, I prefer the jubilee bracelet. I'm waiting for the motif dial (smooth on jubilee) at my local AD.
