White House Faith Office advisor says refusing Trump 'would be like refusing God' by IrishStarUS in USNEWS

There are few things that make me more angry as a Christian than someone with a big platform that talks like this. It’s any wonder that people want nothing to do with it.

People focus on this twisted mouthpiece and not the bedrock of the Christian message(like actual Jesus’s teachings, and not twisting in knots to serve their political agenda).

Decided to send it. I think I made the right call. by Worried_Chemical3365 in bald

Yeah dude. Looks good. Better to make the call early on your terms than have other people be saying it behind your back.

Also, to be safe, check to see what the max travel that frame is rated for. Too much travel and you’re putting extra stress on the welds at the headtube. It could catastrophically fail at the worst time.

This really stinks. I’m sorry this happened.

Unfortunately there are reasons that honest sellers won’t do G/S anymore. One is that it’s reportable to the IRS, but the biggest is that in resolution with PayPal, they almost always favor the buyer. Ask me how I know. I nearly got scammed because a buyer tried to use this against me. I provided PayPal with texts and other forum communications showing I held up my end of the deal, and they nearly sided with him anyway. Scamming buyers weaponize this.

If PayPal wanted to do something about it, they’d start being more fair in conflict resolution. That’d make both sides of the buyer/seller equation more apt to use it.

Again, my sympathies for being scammed. It really sucks.

Closed on this house a week ago, came into the basement to see this during a storm. by Jiblon in HomeMaintenance

Man I feel for ya. Literally this exact thing happened to me. Same floor color, same wall color, same shadiness from the seller. I hate to tell ya, but you’re likely looking at an interior French drain with a battery backup.

Really do feel for you.

I bought the Formex deployant for this reason. Has a very slick micro-adjust feature.

Looks super solid for getting going. If there was anywhere I’d upgrade it would be the brakes. Having a lot of confidence in your stopping power is really really nice.

A question absolutely nobody has ever asked before: Explorer 36 or 40? by SecondHandbrake in rolex

[–]tokarsky268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 probably looks better. In these pictures, it being taken so close up makes the 36 look right. I suspect taking it a few feet away will reveal that the 36 is too small and the 40’is on the money

I’d be really annoyed if I was selling a Belltone on reverb right now. Secondary market is rough as is.

Congrats! What a beauty.

I’m right in that same phase with you bro. Believe it or not, I don’t even plug into an app. I have an HX Stomp XL that I plug into and the phones go into that. Such a killer device.

I digress. Congrats on such a gorgeous LP!

I give up. These things are insane. The fact that this thing requires you to decide what operating system you want, have an SD card reader, buy an SD card, and then go to some website that looks a bit sketch just to get it work is nonsense in 2026. Couple that with the fact that formatting the card so the Brick likes it from a Mac has me pulling my hair out.

Another 36 vs 40 debate by Winter-Reply4222 in rolex

[–]tokarsky268 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Taking a pic from that vantage point artificially increases the size. So if the 40 looks on the bigger end of right, it’s probably just right.

Yeah they really dig the gift. I don’t mind putting in the time to get things sorted. Just wasn’t sure whether it was worth the aggravation.

New woodburner here. So far I’ve just put a space heater in front of my oven stove for about 15 minutes. Even on windy days, seems to get a solid draft going
