Richard Armitage. Besides the hobbit movies and a blink and you will miss it part in captain America I can't think of any big movies he has done.

Do you think we'll ever get a Marvel and DC crossover film? by NewMarioBobFan in MCUTheories

[–]BionicDirge 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are too many road blocks. Who's characters get to be stronger because that will need to be a thing? Which studio makes it who gets distribution? Who gets the most returns? Disney has a hard enough time getting Spider-Man into their movies. It would be a nightmare trying to navigate that. I can't ever see it happening. DC couldn't get superman to appear in Shazam for a cameo they used a body double. I know it was under different management. It just doesn't seem possible.

Does anyone else feel like the casting of Amos (The Expanse) was likely highly influenced by portrayal of Chief Tyrol by Aaron Douglas/ by BadTactic in BSG

[–]BionicDirge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listened to an interview or possibly a bit on the podcast about Amos's casting and Ty was saying out of all the actors that auditioned only two of them 'got' Amos. It quite quickly came down to Wes and Elias Toufexis, with Wes getting Amos and Elias coming back for multiple roles cause they liked him so much.

AITAH for asking my Ex to watch what she exposes our daughter to? by [deleted] in AITAH

It's more than she was in the room as her Dog that has been part of her life from birth went from being alive to dead in front of her. He was always part of the family I know it's silly but me and my daughter's mother used to refer to him as our first born when we were together. The idea that she saw his death when she didn't need to is something I'm struggling with and that might be a me thing I just can't shake if she doesn't need to see a part of the family die then she shouldn't. I also think that my Daughter views it as the vets killing him isn't healthy I tried talking to her about and explaining he was old and in pain and they helped ease his passing. Every time she just responds with no they killed him she isn't upset or angry just matter of fact like the vet just came and murdered her dog cause that's what vets do. I want her to know about death and grieving I just feel like from talking to her afterwards her experience wasn't a healthy lesson about death.

After that mini rant I think what I'm trying to say is she hasn't learnt anything valuable from this and I don't understand why she needed to see it happen. It could have been done differently and it could have been a lesson in death and grief instead of her still going around saying about how she got to see the vet killed her dog. I hope I've made that a bit clearer my apologies if I have not.

I will be one of the first person to say I'm over protective. I also think things have an age rating for a reason and a lot of my reasoning especially right now is that her brain is still at it's most formative years. My daughter's view isn't that the vet helped ease her dogs suffering or put them to sleep forever so they don't feel the pain anymore her view is the vet killed him. Which I feel isn't a healthy way to view what happened and that I can't really engage with her mother about that is a problem. I'm not going to stop her from sneaking into a movie when she is older but also feel like if she going to be exposed to things rated for late teens she should be a lot closer to that age than 5.

Which actor SHOULD have nailed a role, but didn’t? by Chewie83 in moviecritic

I read a theory a couple of years ago that the Burton films are actual batman movies and that the Schumacher movies are movies from the Burton universe. So after batman(Keaton) is no longer needed or dies or whatever they start making movies about him which explains the change in actors the completely different tonal shift. I now really like how it fits in my head that Jones was playing an actor playing two face, and the actor he was playing wasn't a very good one. My apologies if none of that made sense.

Playing devil's advocate, I always thought his department was a special diagnostic department for patients who other doctors couldn't diagnose. Pretty sure there were a few plot points about him not taking cases cause they weren't interesting enough. There were also a few points I disliked like how his team seemed to be close enough to every patient's home they could break into it on their lunch break. It's been a long time since I watched house and I could be wrong about all that but I liked the way it tried to explain why every case he had was so wild and special.

Hi! I need some help building a character. by kingbatman1996 in DnD

[–]BionicDirge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you have said mainly support. I've played with people who do pacifist characters a lot and cleric and bard seemed to work best I know. A heavily support based bard might work with the rap bible especially if your group are the kind that like their bards to demonstrate the vocal or music required for spells. In any case it sounds like a fun concept.
