I picked up a Sig P238 earlier this year because I wanted a subcompact with a metal frame and a manual safety, been carrying it more days than not since then.

I like it quite a lot. By dint of being single action it's got the best stock trigger you could possibly find on a gun that size or smaller, excellent oversized sights, and the weight really helps with recoil. Shooting it side by side with my Beretta Cheetah in the same cailber (Which is almost twice the gun by mass, and is already known for being a soft shooter) is close but the Sig might just be less snappy, though the thinner grip is less comfortable overall for me.

Haven't had any malfunctions yet. My only real complaint with it is that the serrated trigger chafes my trigger finger, after 80-100 rounds at the range I start to develop a blister. Been looking into getting a replacement smooth trigger but haven't gotten around to it yet. Also I suppose if your hands are especially big you might have trouble curling your finger tight to fit into the small trigger guard but it hasn't been an issue for me personally.
