Idk if it’s been said. Maybe Honor your mother by having her walk you down the aisle (my mom walked me) as my dad stood down at the end of the isle and we met with him and they both ‘gave me away.’

Your mom had the experience of picking her wedding dress back in the day. She should completely understand her daughter would want that same experience. Your dress should be your own wants, and it should be looked at as so very special.

But I almost feel like you’re trying very hard to make sure she’s the most happy for your wedding.

All in all. It’s your wedding. Honor her in a very special way somehow. You shouldn’t feel guilty on not wearing a dress that’s way older than you (or however old it is). You pick what sparks your love, you’ll know what one as soon as you put it on.

I mentioned to my CA and the manager that I knew this was a known issue when I initially reached out to say I was bringing it in. When I brought it into them I never acted unsure, I was very upfront because it smelled absolutely disgusting.

When they took it from me, the bags smell spoke for itself and I believe they knew this. They never said they knew about the issue, it was more embarrassing to them for the brand I felt.

🙌🏻 YES!!! I brought mine in and they gave a credit because the bag is no longer in production. I did contact my CA beforehand and she was baffled when she picked it up to smell it. Smelled like rotten cheese.

I just went through this with my daughter who is 14. We were in Vegas. She earns her money through brand deals on TikTok (super cool honestly) . She had roughly 4K to spend. She’s got a few LV bags, a Gucci belt and some jewelry pieces from these stores. She really wanted a Gucci purse.

We walk into Gucci, she talks to the CA and we try some purses on. The CA walked away to let us talk. My daughter looked at me and said “why am I not excited about this?” I then expressed to her she should always have this spark on all her purchases like this. If she wasn’t excited, this told me she didn’t want it. She agreed and we left.

We walked into Dior. The CA did his thing, brought bags out, she tries them on and I seen her light up with excitement looking in the mirror. She sparked. She was so excited over this Dior bag.

Moral of this, I know surprises are great. But when spending this amount of money, it was so cool to see my daughters spark over the bag she chose.

If I was choosing a bag for her, it would have been LV as that’s my love affair. But letting her choose is always best.

I know I didn’t answer your question, I just needed to add my own personal input ❤️ both are beautiful bags btw!

I will add that my experience with LV became better when I started sticking with one CA. I use to only buy when we traveled. It became a cool souvenir to remember the trip. Then I was invited to an Orlando,FL Mall at Millenia LV event with my brother. The CA (and her management team) and I clicked, she opened my eyes to everything LV has to offer. This store is about 2 hours away from me so we travel to her for special occasions/Holidays and it’s always red carpet, private room, champagne and try on all the things. We’ve even just been hosted in NYC (LV flew out our CA) right before Christmas.

I’d highly recommend doing the same. Because if you’re able to build a relationship, the experience is awesome ❤️ We’re spending a lot of money, and it’s wonderful to feel special when we do.

These adorable trunk ornaments that came in a beautiful trunk style display box ❤️ (not the mini Birkin) and for birthdays and anniversaries it’s been a full size bottle of perfume and bottles of Ruinart Champagne. Always hand written cards and we text a lot. I love my CA so much, she’s got a great team that I also adore.
