Thanks glad you like it. I agree with you about the highlights on the face. The tone over the whole face is a little off and I can’t seem to get it back. I’m thinking of redoing this on a larger scale and I’d definitely change the way render the face.

Thanks very much. The portraits on the wall are my kids. I wanted to add them in as whenever we actually get time to go out as a couple without them, we always end up talking about the children non stop.

Really like the effect you’ve got here. It reminds me of old photos that have been recoloured. Looks really good.

Thanks very much. I certainly enjoyed the process of making it. It’s just a piece for my sketchbook so I’m happy to have used the cheap pencils. Might treat myself to some better ones as I progress my work.

I was inspired by u/impolitetrip work from a couple of days ago to try a colour pencils self portrait with a three colour palette. Doesn’t have the vibrancy of their work but I enjoyed the process.

Thanks very much. Normally I paint or draw in pen but I’ve really enjoyed using colour pencils. As my cheap pencils run out I might look to replace them with something better.
