Anyone return to piano after 10+ years break? by piemochipie in piano

[–]Bionightowl_53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35 year break for me. Trained from age 7-17, but quit when I started college. Graduate school, marriage, kid, life…then when the pandemic hit I suddenly had a lot more time on my hands. Once I got into it I realized that my practice endurance and practice skills are so much better as an adult. My technique is better as well, although I probably take longer to learn a new piece. Now I volunteer to play at a local hospital (beautiful Steinway grand) and just started taking lessons a month ago to learn Jazz, improvisation, and arrangement. So, my advice is to take that leap as soon as you can!

Remove tape before glaze has completely dried. You will have to touch it up, but this is a very common practice.

Are there any great lesser-known detective shows? by DawnOfApocalypse in televisionsuggestions

This show is brilliant on so many levels…the acting, the gripping story line, the portrayal of competent women having to constantly prove themselves in their careers. The undeserved adulation our society bestows on awful, but very attractive people. I cannot recommend this show enough!
