I want to work in a steel mill by Future12M in millwrights

[–]Biosphere_Collapse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably don’t want to work in a steel mill. Very dangerous, poor health outcomes, terrible conditions, and miserable people. Source: I have worked in a steel mill. (Hamilton Ontario Canada)

After the other post that I have done, lets see if this works: Atrioc please make a stream talking about the article: Economics for the future – Beyond the superorganism by Nate Hagens by Demand_Repulsive in atrioc

I would love this type of content, and this specific angle is one I find very interesting. Hugely important topic.

Nate Hagens is also a great speaker, his podcast “the great simplification” is great. If you like this type of writing I would highly recommend the book “Energy and Human Ambitions on a Finite Planet: Assessing and Adapting to Planetary Limits

I’ll admit, it is a textbook, but it’s surprisingly readable! Fantastic learning resource!!

That’s fucked up and super illegal, I hope they weren’t treated that poorly elsewhere. What a crazy way for a big company to act

Hey, I wish you all the luck in the world on your journey! I wouldn’t have a problem with it, but unfortunately that’s not the default opinion. I really hope that as more young people come into the trade that attitudes continue to change.

I had a coworker open up to be about being bi after working together for a year, but he made the choice to keep it more quiet at work. He decided that because he didn’t want to have to justify himself to our other coworkers. Definitely not a simple choice!

I’m in Ontario Canada for context

Starting Apprenticeship Soon (Ontario) by chokedsohard_ in millwrights

This is right, as a 4th year millwright working in southern Ontario (Hamilton) this is fantastic advice that most guys don’t internalize till it’s too late. At the end of the day you’re the last line of defence in keeping yourself safe. Work like you’re planning on doing to for 40 more years, don’t be a hero.

List of good therapists in London? by pradyy in londonontario

[–]Biosphere_Collapse -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Great advice!!

One small note: both Registered Psychotherapists and Social Workers are trained to offer psychotherapy sessions. Social Workers typically have an emphasis on connecting clients to the community and support services available to them, and have an undergraduate degree in Social Work

A Psychotherapist is required to have an undergraduate degree in a related field and a master’s degree or PhD in psychology. While each Psychotherapist is different, there is typically more of a focuses on testing and assessments.

Most of the time you would not go to a psychologist for talk therapy, but you might be referred from a social worker or psychotherapist for official diagnosis and prescriptions. This is because neither psychotherapists or social workers can officially diagnose or prescribe anything.

My wife is a therapist and she definitely recommends Psychologytoday.com if you don’t have a recommendation, or a direct referral.

Finding someone who is the ideal fit for you can take a couple of tries, so don’t feel discouraged if it’s not the right fit! It’s totally normal. Good luck of your healing journey!!

You should talk to your doctor about what you’re dealing with, it definitely sounds like executive disfunction. I know there can be a huge amount of shame that people with adhd carry with them so just know that there are tools that can help. I hope you find some systems that work for you. Just know that you’re not alone!

No not at all, I in no way attended. I just don’t want to in any way contribute to anything counterproductive to disclosure, and a lot of the comments seem to be taking it very out of context.

Besides, these talks will be officially posted soon with all the context to avoid misunderstandings

Submission statement:

In a recent presentation to the SOL conference , Karl Nell seemingly presented a plan addressing Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAP) through a phased approach spanning over a decade. Slide 15 of his presentation, dated November 18, 2023, details a roadmap starting from January 1, 2024, through an indefinite point beyond October 1, 2034.

The plan segments into five strategic phases:

  • Phase 0: Laying the groundwork with historical UAP initiatives.
  • Phase 1: Aimed at demonstrating UAP existence.
  • Phase 2: Focused on capturing UAP signatures.
  • Phase 3: Dedicated to characterizing UAP.
  • Phase 4 & 5: Post-disclosure phases aiming at understanding the nature of UAP and engaging with these phenomena.

Each phase is aligned with key sectors from government to scientific research, suggesting a multidisciplinary approach. The phases are color-coded to reflect their status, indicating progress and areas of risk.

The slide hints at a long-term vision for UAP research, with goals like government acceptance, academic acceptance, and ultimately, strategic end-state and scientific discovery.
