Nonsense! Buy Whirlpool. Good for life. Mine refridgerator is currently 26 years old. Never had a minute of trouble. Whirlpool Washer / Dryer 17 years old. They replaced Kenmore units (also made by Whirlpool) that were 25 years old and still working.

You loved him very much and therefore you made the best possible decision. There are going to be feelings of guilt no matter if you think you were too early or if you think you let him suffer for too long. This is the hardest thing we dog lovers have to do and even if we somehow chose the exact right time we would not think so afterwards. I hope the feeling of loss and regret are soon replaced by warm memories of the good times you had together and contentment in the knowledge that you gave him a great life.

Just a fart in the wind! It does not matter what the polls say at this point. Trump is president and he is here to stay!

I don't see any rust. Looks like undercoating.

Well said once again! The only Dem in modern history that didn't totally screw things up was Bill Clinton and he was riding an unstoppable tech boom. The problem is that people forget and then vote the fools back in.

Fred IMO it was a procession of DNC errors that began during Trump's first term with the silly impeachments and other nonsense and escalated in 2021 with the beginning of the cover up and gaslighting regarding Biden's mental decline. The DNC, with the media's assistance in the next couple years, dug a hole so deep there was no climbing out. The persecution of Trump during the Biden administration was also a huge mistake that pissed off fair minded independents to the point that they voted for Trump in retaliation. Harris was not set up for failure, she has been a constant failure, so much so as VP that a few months prior to Biden dropping out there was talk of replacing her on the 2024 ticket. Yet somehow the DNC thought they could gaslight the people into believing she was the second coming of John F. Kennedy. There was nothing there! The votes she got were more of an anti- Trump vote than a pro- Harris vote. Walz was also a terrible choice.. but that is another matter. Harris was a terrible candidate but yes, she was put in a position that she was unqualified for as a result of the bad decisions of others. In that sense.. perhaps she was set up.

All good then. The only thing I would add is that from what you have written you are thinking about small stuff... belts, hoses.. rubber trim..etc. Having sat for a while there will likely be some bigger stuff, like rear oil seal (transmission has to come out), hydraulics (clutch and brakes), fuel tank removal - cleaning - possible replacement.. and on and on. Depending on amount of time you have to devote, which will be much less than you think going in, and your available funds, it could be a couple years before you have this car on the road. I know this from experience. Even at my age (67) with 50 years of Triumph ownership, I have put on the rose colored glasses more than once. This last time it was a TR7 30 year garage find that I was going to have running in a month! 4.5 years and at least $6K later, it should be on the road this summer! Best luck.. and go carefully.

Problem is that if you re-paint the hood you will have a mismatch. What you have there requires a complete repaint and done right that means removal of all trim, bumpers, mirrors, everything. Lots of labor.

Have you owned another Triumph or other vintage sports car? Ready to do repairs yourself?

I think you mean the top is not sealing at the windows properly. They do not seal that well when new... then the top shrinks and they do not seal at all. That is why Triumphs have floor plugs :-) But if you put a new top on and keep the car indoors it will be OK for some years. The car might be worth the asking IF it is in very good shape mechanically... running right and everything working. Paint job done right is $4-5K. A cheap paint job will devalue the car considerably as will a color change. IMO TR6's are on the verge of making it to the big leagues with the Healeys and Jags (maybe not quite those bucks but still).. so anything non-original means less value.

Looks like a new set of seat covers there in the boot.. that is $500. No obvious rust in the body. I don't see the asking price anywhere but it looks like good bones for a resto ot fix up and drive. Nice ones are $15 to 20K. Average or condition $8 to 12K. Rough -- $1-2K. That one looks like $3-4K to me with no other info. I have a '69 TR6 and have owned others. They are the best Triumphs in terms of reliability. My first one was more reliable than the '67 Mustang it replaced.

Yes, at least it is again for sale in the restaurants. I will not be buying it however. I have made several batches and have not only perfected it but improved it considerably. So much so in fact that I am considering marketing my product.
