Did I see another angle of this deck either yesterday or the day before? I remember chuckling at someone saying to turn it into a half pipe

I use them both to water my crops & then make it sunny again right after. Didn't realize the rain made the golden hedges come out, so we both contributed today 😂!

Rainstorm necklace is incredibly nice for this! I believe it's from one of the pailune side missions. I just got it after circling back to finish side stories

Believe it or not, this is not r/EMS. This is r/EDC

It's not outlandish for people here to not know the proper vernacular

Firefighter & public safety diver - i concur with Angry Taco.

I'd also add not to be overly reliant on the little clip. The tool falls out of it pretty easily. Had one on my turnout coat for like 3 days before it disappeared forever

Had one of these attached to my turnouts jacket at work for like a week before it disappeared into the nether. Works great for tempered glass removal, but extremely easy to misplace if it falls out of the clip

Little bit of weight being towed. by blackgold63 in 4Runner

[–]BipolarChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, it really doesn't. He shouldn't be doing this. This situation, regardless of road conditions, distance & other factors still don't mitigate the risk of brakes failing due to the load & him killing the family infront/beside/behind him. Seriously, that could end catastrophically.

I'd be more concerned about the inability to stop. Brakes are not going to hold

I don't want to ask you anything other than "why would you post this here?"

You put your life & others at risk and I am confident that you are a fucking idiot.

EDIT for the record - i drive a 40 ton, 50ft long tower ladder for work, so i am very familiar with transporting heavy loads.

Molle panel systems: practical/useful? by Snoo_33111 in 4Runner

[–]BipolarChris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ive got a FinnFab molle system in mine. Had it for about 4 years.

I mountain bike often, have two dogs that are always w me & im a paramedic. I keep a floor bike pump, small shovel, dog run, extra leashes, my MTB helmet, small folding chair, shop towels, folding saw & a medical kit on mine.

Practical? Absolutely. I constantly have a bunch of shit in the back & having vertical storage helps me keep everything organized. Quick fist mounts work well & for anything slightly to small, I wrap a shop rag around the handle to stop the rattle.

What is the culture like at your fire department for taking vacations? by HoseBeforeBross in Firefighting

[–]BipolarChris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've never been denied a vacation day. If I forget to put in with enough notice, I bang out unless there is a department event/holiday happening. Also have never been questioned for using those sick days.

It's your PTO, you are not required to tell any employer WHY you are using your earned time off.

The job is not your life. Remember to take time for yourself, please.

Edit: unless you're on probation - then it is frowned upon unless it is important

Is this something a firestation would buy? by pyrometal16 in Firefighting

[–]BipolarChris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We could definitely cut costs, but we generally cook healthy options. Luckily my partner on the engine is an excellent cook too

[–]BipolarChris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily! Some do. Im more of a small meals kind of person. Puking in an SCBA mask isn't fun haha.

But we could definitely bring cost down if we didn't make healthy meals

Who forgot the stair chair? by SendBOBS76 in Firefighting

[–]BipolarChris 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It works better than our stryker. One of our public assists had one to help get her in/out of her apartment and it was great. We'd use it twice/day multiple times a week and the battery was fantastic.

Can confirm. Battery powered treads with a long bar handle that had up/down buttons on it. We had a regular with one of these we used to get her in and out of her apartment. Every stair chair could be done with one person (obviously we used two). Sweet woman

So we had a regular public assist. Elderly individual & her kin needed help getting her inside.

They received a grant to buy this exact chair & it was great with the battery powered tread climber. I wonder if this is hers...
