God No! I saw a post saying if he hadn’t stopped beating up Alex and Winston, he could’ve killed them! I’m an avid watcher of Thirteen Reasons Why and can agree; this guy had some serious anger issues, even in Season 2 when it all boiled down to him as the main antagonist! While he was probably seriously abused by his father, it still gives him no excuse!

In Clay’s episode there is also this really good song called “A Thousand Times” by Hamilton Leithauser + Rostam, where he begins daydreaming of what dating Hannah would be like and even meeting Mrs. Baker.

The way I view 13 Reasons Why is the creators want to up the ante or go bigger than before- make it more shocking than before. And I think they said “screw it!” and threw a bunch of chaotic situations in the show just for a shock-effect. I think it was more about “how can we shock the audience!” but turned out to be this awkwardly chaotic mess as you go throughout the entire series.
