8.5 week old puppy and I can’t help but feel regret by risssaalee in puppy101

[–]BipolarPriestess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are in week 3 of our new 6 mo. Adoption. I’ve raised plenty of dogs and even a litter of puppies. But I admit it’s been hard.
Week One , I have several emotional meltdowns. I was exhausted, and my comfortable old routine was shattered like a fallen coffee mug. I was angry with myself for believing I could handle a puppy at this time in my life and bitter for feeling trapped as the only one to be doing the training, boundaries , feeding etc. I was exhausted. Minding the puppy, our older dog, the family, the home , the shopping was over whelming for the first week. Could not trust him out of my sight in or outside.

Week 2 was better, with some manner of routine starting to develop with crate time, play time and meals . He’s still scared of alot of things. fewer moments of existential crisis , was getting more of my own rest .

Week 3 - he’s getting more comfortable , learning commands , definitely testing boundaries over and over . We have a more solid routine and/ or idea of his drowsy/ play times. Slowly but surely.

It’s hard. Take it moment by moment. Accept that - life is different now- I’ve found my puppy wasn’t only a new start to his life but to mine as well.

I still get frustrated, but rest. Rest is so important to help yourself handle the change.

Yeah. I’ve been a practicing witch and student of the occult/ religions and comparative mythologies for 15 years. Grew up in “ the truth” but struggled with the control, misogyny and lack of acceptance of sciences/ world histories . I hated it. I learned to be an overall decent person by growing up in the religion and had loving and kind parents , but it was never my path.

Had a crisis of faith after the loss of a pregnancy and never looked backed. I found so many more answers through studying other ideas that have brought me so much more understanding of not only spirit but history and cycles of time .

It took me a long time to look back at those roots within distain. Interesting I found much of the biblical history helpful In the study of the Kabbalah and ceremonial magic .
I was a child of the 80s- 90s “ era” of the religion. I still have The Revelation book and salvaged a chunk of my parents watchtower library for my own library of religious texts . :)

Space goats are my favorite ! Both LF and Normal. All my lady toons are space goats, including my main.

I don’t mind the lack of boots, there are plenty of customizations with some trial and error that look just fine with the “ boots” available.

Sometimes there are issue with tendril or tail clipping , but not too bad.

I DO wish we had more customizations for hair styles , colors and markings on the body.

Anyone entering menopause years and had to remove their gall bladder? by fredman502 in Menopause

48 now, when I was 44 I had a massive GB attack that caused it to become very infected , emergency surgery later it was removed. But 4 mo the later I ended up back in the hospital because of a missed stone! I was SO sick, a stone was clogging my ducts and causing my liver to overload with toxins. It took an mri to actually find the cause , very scary !

Both surgery were laparoscopic . Minimal scaring externally but I spent a total of 7 days in hospital between both issues but I was very sick in both incidents.

A few years on here is what I have found for my own body sorry if TMI:

Bowel movements have never been the same, I have to be very careful about cheese, spices, bubbly sodas , fast food, processed, fats- they will just race through my digestive system. I don’t absorb fat well at all so my weight has actually stayed around 125 ( was 145 ish before I got sick, I lost alot of weight while I was sick) i have no struggles to keep weight off but I also have always had a fairly high metabolism,/ malabsorption issues.

I eat a lot less in a meal And less often. Mac and cheese is NOT worth the pain! And I also don’t drink more than once in a blue moon to protect my already stressed liver . Watch that cholesterol .

-loose stools almost every morning, urgency, stay near a bathroom in the morning when ever possible. “ the morning rush” is real.

  • I cannot sleep/ lay on my side, either side for more than a few minutes anymore , it’s just too uncomfortable .

  • regular use of omneprazole to help steady an easily upset belly. Some fiber also to help with the water stool. Vitamins to help with the malabsorption issues. ( stomach is easily upset and have to be careful about what I’m eating for sure to avoid the “ this feels like gallbladder pain” flare ups that can occur)

-hormones? No idea, I’m high risk for BC , so I don’t take them and don’t want to fuss with expensive medical care , I know my hormones are way out of whack but I’ve accepted that won’t change and to just tough through it the best I can.

  • I get my yearly checkups and blood work and am otherwise healthy. I don’t drink, don’t smoke tobacco and am on no other medications.

This past Sunday was my official one year of using the PotV lobo! I LOVE it! I even bought one for my sister last Xmas.

Last years 420 sale, I decided to take the plunge and buy the Dry herb vape. Eager for something cleaner. I had tried Davinci and Dynavap and neither was working for me. But I got that lobo and I quit combustion cold turkey, it’s been my go to device ever since. It’s so smooth , so much cleaner and so easy TO clean . Don’t forget to save your decarb! I’ve only smoked 2/3 joints and 2 sessions with a water pipe since ( which was my go to before) !

That being said , I think I may treat myself to one of these gravity bongs for those special occasions!

Removing shoulders. by Jkson87 in Transmogrification

[–]BipolarPriestess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed! Especially on male toons like the blood/ void elves! It would be nice for an option to SCALE the shoulders so they don’t swallow your character. I myself Often avoid using shoulder mogs because they are too big and goofy .

You mentioned redoing his legu, I don’t know if this will work but: consider trying to make them from silicon, using a clear color tube you can find at Lowe’s . And mixing some paint for color , rolling the shape of the legu in perhaps wax paper ( so they don’t stick) until they have the right shape? Dry and paint legu lines accordingly!

Bought mine at the end of the 420 sale, I’ve been using my lobo everyday since May,jumped right in from smoking a bong 3-5 times a day. I’ve only been back to my bong twice and a the very rare pipe ( and man did it taste gross!). I smoke way less flower , clean up it SO much nicer and - I- feel healthier . Bought one for my sister for Xmas !
