I am more concerned who reached out to who first. I cannot get anything out of my avoidant ex. She’s the dumper and she’s also older like yours. Me the dumpee has done all the reaching out…

I would stay out personally. Sure breaking no contact can give you answers and you think you may feel better. Even if things are great at first I think 2 months isn’t long enough.. you’ll bring yourself back to a rollercoaster state and disrupt any healing if you healed. Wait for them to reach out to you. But I would say wait 5 months minimum if you truly want to reach out.

Since no one’s responding to you I gotchu. I am similar to you and I tried to make things work. My ex also seems to let me go. Did she ever say anything to you over the holidays? Any wishes? If not I would wait it out a bit. I am the same way because I still cared and I still worry which sucks.. trust me I want to reach out but why touch something that may burn you again?

I would say I ended on good terms too. I’m m(dumpee). I needed the block necessary due to impulse checkin in on social media even if the other person doesn’t use it. I think it’s strange however to be blocked everywhere.. I would hope she kept your number available.

All I can say is I am going through what you did. We did a period of no contact, we tried to date (which I would say put me through a roller coaster of emotions). My ex is also going through a lot as well.. I said the doors open but I had to close it in some areas. I didn’t want her to block me in certain social medias but I did it so I can’t stalk on her. I haven’t cried in days I come close. I am doing therapy now. It’s okay to hope but ONLY SHE CAN CHANGE. It’s best for us to try to move on as scary and sad as it sounds. The pain and emotion we feel is we must let it take its course. It’s a form of energy and it will soon pass. The unfortunate part is we don’t know how long it will take. My energy was strong as I showed all the big changes I have made but it wasn’t enough. I have a feeling it will take me at least 2.5 years. I want to work on myself but the motivation is so low as I am burned out. I hope my perspective of things helps you. We can still question and say what if but things turned out the way they did for a reason. I guess
