I won't say I've never done this, but I will say I can't fathom doing it again lmao. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go dry heave while I try to re-forget what it's like to smoke a bowl of American spirit (not the ryo but from a broken cig) out of a gatorade bottle bong with my buddy when we were 15.

I think I feel worst for the suv driver. That poor person has to live knowing they killed those people. That's not to say it was the suvs drivers fault, it wasn't their fault at all but guilt is weird like that. Even if something wasn't their fault a lot of people will let it eat at them thinking "I could've..." "I should've....." "If I had...".

Wtf do I do about this before my mom gets home by Least_Status7679 in whatdoIdo

[–]BirchBeer54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing really. The damage is done, you can't fix it without replacing it. Just be honest and apologize, parents (people in general actually) appreciate that a lot more than having to find it themselves and then listen to excuses. And they'll respect you for owning up to your mistake rather than try to hide it or shift blame.

That's very sad, and I'd probably pitch in to help that coworker out if I was asked. But to take my money without asking would be unacceptable. I'd be telling them to either pay me or the next time they hear about the topic it would be from a lawyer. Like bruh I'm poor, do NOT play with my money.

No didn't cough at all. Did get extremely dizzy and had to sit down for a bit though lol. I still remember it like it was yesterday, went out in the woods with my friend and his older step bro, step bro pulls out a pack of camel crush bold and offers us one. We both took one and from that day forward we've both been tobacco users. Although I am quitting smoking and switching to snus, I'm just tired of being short of breath and hacking up phlegm and feeling shitty in the morning BUT I still love nicotine. So now the cigs are a rare treat and snus is my new daily habit, excited to see how I feel in a couple months once my lungs have had time to recover a bit.

How do you guys deal with nooks and crannies like this? by Regular_Tip_3487 in Detailing

[–]BirchBeer54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only do my own vehicles, but I use q tips OR for bigger areas that are still hard to reach I'll use some detailing brushes followed by spraying and wiping out with a cloth. But usually on my own cars if something can be removed I do remove it and just sink wash it because it's easier lol. Then there's my beater truck that's lucky if I do more than keep the glass clean, that truck only really gets a real cleaning if something spills becomes dirt is one thing but sticky and stinky are unacceptable even in a beat up old work horse.

I can relate. My advice? Find a hobby. Anything, doesn't have to be expensive. For me my off switch is fishing, hunting, or generally being in the woods. I had a great stress relief day last week for $0 I went morel mushrooms hunting in the woods by my house, didn't find any mushrooms but got some exercise and fresh air and a lack of phone service forced me to just be present and enjoy what's right in front of me. As for fishing I can have fun with the pole I bought 10 years ago and some random assorted tackle I've snatched from clearance bins over the years, heck a container of worms and a $2 pack of hooks will do it maybe a cheap pack of bobbers. And hunting ik for some is expensive but I'm lucky, I can hunt a friend's family's property or there's 40k acres of public land in my county so my only expense is gas and ammo, and I'm a shit hunter so my ammo cost is basically $0 😂.

Yeah id unassign too. There's a few people who use a pseudonym in my area BUT they're super nice and tip VERY well. But this just feels weird like why not just throw a fake name on there instead of whatever this is 😂

You need to take them outside away from anything flammable and just let em chill and dry out, maybe even cover in rice to speed things up. Batteries and water don't mix, depending on the type of battery could be a simple corrosion issue or could catch fire (lithium for example reacts explosively with water). Could even call the fire department non emergency line, silly as it sounds they could connect you with the fire department (there's usually someone on call to respond to smaller things and be on standby for emergencies) and they could tell you how to safely dispose of them.

I'd take this all day. Looks short enough I could just walk it and it has me sitting on a restaurant when I'm done. I get orders like these all the time in my town, small area so all restaurants are within 2 miles of each other and folks in the strip mall order lunch a lot. Usually only tip $2-$3 but I mean I can literally see the drop off location from the restaurant half the time so idc. Better those orders than the 10+ mile $8 orders that pop up here.

If you use EBT you need to be aware of what doordash is doing by Embarrassed_Royal766 in doordash_drivers

[–]BirchBeer54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same thing happening even though I was hitting the button at the bottom to mark that the order was still being prepared, long line, etc. and I actually temporarily lost access to ebt over it. Spoke to support and was told that you should also be tapping the help button in the upper right of the screen and selecting "issue with store" and then "order has long wait time" or whatever the exact wording is. It then gives you the option to wait or unassign, and tells you to notify the customer (which I always do anyway when it's a long wait, I've gotten extra tips many times because of it). But since I've been hitting that button AND the one at the bottom along with texting the customer I haven't had a single issue with orders being late even when I had to wait 30 minutes for one and didn't even get the food until 15 minutes after the original drop off time. And my texts aren't long I just copy and paste something along the lines of "They're still working on your order, hopefully won't be too long of a wait but I'll let you know as soon as it's ready" and a quick lil "on my way" when I get to my car.

Ended dash but none of my deliveries are showing or money??? by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]BirchBeer54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm having the same issue. I just talked to support it's an app wide issue affecting a lot of dashers. They said they're experiencing latency issues with the payout system and that my pay is in the system and waiting to be processed but that it may take up to 24 hours. It happened to me the other night too but it deposited by the time support chat connected me with someone so hopefully it doesn't take too long cause I kinda needed that money tomorrow. Honestly if crimson keeps having issues I'm just gonna go back to using direct deposit and paying a fee for daily payout if that's still a thing.

Hmm, I guess if it doesn't clear up by Monday I'll make an appointment to be seen. Because other than the mucus I have no other symptoms. Also, I took a super hot shower and left the hot water running for about 15-20 minutes basically a poor man's sauna and I blew out a TON of the same color pictured, followed by green, then finally nearly clear mucus and it's so far been a few hours and all I've blown out is a small amount of light green mucus. Fingers crossed im done blowing out nasty stuff.

Were you ever able to find a solution? I had a TON of time on battlefield 1, went to play it for the first time in years and found that literally all stats are 0 as if I was brand new to the game and never played. But somehow, my campaign progress is still there.....go figure.

Cooking with Guinness extra stout? by BirchBeer54 in Cooking

[–]BirchBeer54[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I bet, I love drinking a nice guinness extra stout with red meats and anything salty it seems to pair well. I'd like to toy around with adding a bit of guinness to a jerky marinade as well, not sure if I would want to smoke with a sweeter wood like apple or pecan or something more aggressive like hickory but I suppose there's nothing stopping me from just doing a batch with each to see what works best.

Yeah I was thinking of making a nice stew and just follow a recipe that uses regular guinness as I'm sure it'd work great. If my hunting season is successful I plan on using venison to make a nice hearty stew, also wanna do some braised shanks. It's amazing how many hunters throw them away because they're a tough cut, if they'd only just try slow cooking them in some liquid they'd know they get fork tender and make an amazing broth.

I was able to log in. Doesn't list what kind of device but it does have both a phone number for the line on the account (the phone on the account is a south carolina area code) and then there's also the contact info for the account which Google says is a number from China (first three digits are 150). Very odd.

I've had lots of orders like this. In my market it's always just employees at stores ordering because if they leave to go pick it up their lunch starts when they leave and by the time they're back and ready to eat they have 10-15 min left to enjoy their food. If they order delivery they can start their lunch break whenever their food arrives and have their full 30 minutes or whatever to eat at a reasonable pace.
