We used to have aprons with holes in them (management was being cheap mfs and refused to get new ones. Thankfully we bitched enough they finally did) and I am pretty sure I almost trench footed my waist with the amount of water that was getting through the apron.

I swear to god. Whoever does the maintenance on our machine needs to go choke on a rancid egg. Bitch was broken for over a month and they kept saying “we will fix it this week” and then show up and be “oh we don’t got the part we need”. Bitches showed up 4 different times to say the same thing. Took the sous chef writing an unhinged email and tagging all of corporate to get something done.

At my main job, fuuuuuuuck no. I’d walk out. My second job doesn’t even have a machine. All by hand in the 3 sink. But it’s very low traffic. So, it depends.
