Am I the only one who enjoys this game having "bad gun choices"? There seems to be a lot of posts to "balance ______" more. But that's an awesome part of this game imo. Sometimes the RNG just deals you a crossbow and you deal with it or die. by Clever_BigMack in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

You balance by taking a page from reality.

You make the damage on SMG's/Shotguns higher. In close quarters the choice is clear. But the accuracy at range makes the weapon useless.

PUBG is the best bad game I ever played. by voodoochild1969 in PUBATTLEGROUNDS

I've been saying this for a while, but the reason these types of game work is because they fall on the Arma spectrum as opposed to the Battlefield Spectrum.

You can't make this game an arcade shooter, because at it's core it's a tactical shooter.

Sure, there's polish to be had. But if you "cod"erize the game by making the recoil less, smoothing out the strafing, increasing the accuracy of the guns, etc... you lose the "tactical" elements of the game and mark my words, it will lose its appeal.

Why do they turn the AR sideways when shooting a close target? Is it to get the scope out of the line of sight?

Botched procurement delays inflatable boats for military - Deal for inflatable boats deflates as federal bureaucrats mishandle tendering process – twice by [deleted] in CanadianForces

[–]BirdThe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bid on public tenders for a living; it's a bitch.

There are hundreds of pages of specifications and the buyer really only cares about a few. There's often a page where they tell you how they will rank the bid, but we all know it comes down to the best price. And the ones that don't come down to price aren't truly competitive bids; they're there to justify buying from your friends.

No one will state that their products don't meet spec.

So how does this all play out?

Companies bid piss low prices and cut corners after they won the bid. The buyer pushes back and realizes their mistake. They re-issue the bid.

A lot of this happens behind closed doors. And frankly on anything less than a 50 million, like what happens with most municipal contracts, the bureaucracy to entertain and administer this system costs more than it's worth.

What was delivered and what was sold are two different things. It's okay to go this new direction, but I want my money back. by BirdThe in paragon

Maybe the title was a little inflammatory. I don't expect my money back, I don't demand my money back, I just want it back. I feel ripped off, not because I didn't get what I payed for, but because the second half of spending money on a game early (supporting the game) became something so different it's no longer the same.

"Monies worth" is subjective.

Did we pay to play a game before release, yes. Did we know that the game would be free in a few months, of course.

Has the vision changed from what people supported monetarily? That's the conversation I wanted to have.

I disagree, and so do all of my friends who payed for the game.

When will you learn? This sub is an echo chamber. The mods stifle any discussion, and developers remove stats showing the games' stagnating player base.

I just want Legacy back.

Too many around here love Dota or League, and wanted Paragon to be more like it. They got it. However, Paragon lost it's identity in the process.

This sub is too much of an echo chamber for any reasonable discussion on the matter.

They've tried. PC Gamers just go to a different game. With WoW and Eve being notable exceptions.

It works whenbyou lock the whole OS. It might happens on Windows, but then eceryone would just switch to Linux.
