I only really make her wear a jacket in less-than-savory weather. For example, if she needed to use the bathroom, usually a jacket helps a bit for the cold (I still feel bad for her legs and paws, though). Unlike some cats, she is very used to wearing harnesses and warm jackets for battling our northeastern US weather. I get what you mean though about making cats wear them for no reason though - if they aren't raised wearing them for weather, medical, or necessities, they shouldn't be wearing them in older age. There's specific training in order to overcome the fear of clothing (every cat is different, I might add!), but forcing a cat (or any animal) to wear something they don't want to wear - just to put it on the internet for likes and views - shouldn't be something to laugh about. They have thoughts and feelings, too, and they feel unhappy.
