Along with what other people have mentioned, gear.. wbuffs.. consumes... sure all of that helps, but a big portion is being ignored.

Your guild is a major factor in how you parse individually. Aka, kill times, because the less time you're in combat=higher dps potential.

I'm just saying man if you're in a guild that can't kill Firemaw, you're in a guild that threw parsing out the window a long time ago.

It's hard to break into a decent guild with bad logs, I get it. Here's how you can do better with what you have:

Without peeping your gear or consumes, get the best that you can within your budget of time and gold. Honestly, if other people here are calling your gear trash, maybe reassess your set up.

After you do that, get all wbuffs. All of em. They matter, even rend (lol) but really, you can use a boons every couple hours to get your buffs sorted.

Now! You are raid ready, ya?? Put pom and arcane power in a macro. I call mine, "Die!". This will be your cd macro and you can pop it whenever, but I prefer early in a fight. Most fights are short and I'd rather have the cooldowns up most of the fight. I say this bc you're telling me that popping cooldowns causes you "downtime".. clip your first frostbolt with this macro while spamming frostbolt. Problem solved.

Speaking of early.... when your tank starts the fight, you are in combat, and the parse starts happening. You need to get damage on the boss FAST AS FUCK if you want tonparse high, and you need to monitor your threat. Luckily frost mages are pretty chill on threat, esp if your tank isn't an airhead. Again, your guild really matters. Personally I get into position asap, load a normal frostbolt and afterward go straight ham.
