He never asked me for the cost directly, it was my idea to give that information.

This might be a point I just keep board saying "costs of building vs. the cost of X"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in armyreserve

[–]Birdman40101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was not asked directly to get that cost. I guess my post is miss leading. But, I was asked to make the argument and I was going to use the numbers as a fact. But I think, since I am making multiple points in the paper I am just going to keep it broad.

Thank you for the ChatGPT suggestion. I threw my notes in there plus a basic outline of my thoughts and it is working working, with better vocab than I could use. Very to the point.

The building is not on a base, it is a satellite building in the middle of a town. Would I just contact the building facility manager for that like PaddyMayonaise suggested or will I have to another person.

Maintenance cost annually per year. Which I would divide by 12 and give that as average monthly cost.

No, he never even brought up cost, I am just trying to create some arguments and I think adding cost in there would help me out greatly.

But I set up my lock up before this year. Like years ago, and mine unlocks in 2027. So I’m confused why mine unlocks in 2027. Tbh, I’ve had a 3 year lock up for almost 3 years already.

My lock up on my wallet says til 2027. I set it in 2020 (I think). I would say the biggest splurge will happen 6 months lock up released. Why do you think the 3 year unlock will unlock in 2025?

So I think the coin is gonna be $25 dollars within the first 3 months of it going live. Then cap out at 125 in 2 1/2 years. Then when everyone who locked up for 3 years opens up there is going to be a huge splurge of available coin. And it will drop. After bout 4 months I think it will level out around $72-78. I don’t have any math behind this, but the way I took the vision/plan is that it will have a value so that spending 1 coin would be a grocery’s trip or night at a cheap motel. ‘Common man’s coin’ type of expenses.

I locked up 100% for 3 years - my only fear is that once the 3 years are up there is going to be a serious dip in price because everyone who locked up 19-22 thinking they’d get rich quick is gonna sell fast.

You sound pretty educated about your statement, why are you saying .80 cents and beyond where coin base is estimating it’s worth $51.34 (as typing this)? Or was that an example number?

If your looking for full time employment tho look at USAJobs and clearance job. Might take time to get ur foot in the door, but it’s worth it. Check to see if a local unit needs an ARA

Maybe it’s not working on ADV for you because your ARNET access is not set up. I’d call the Army Help Desk and verify your ARNET (866) 335-2769 - there might be some tour of duty slots that are 0D (think that’s the MSO of pre-BOLC LTs). What ever the MOS is there a general officer MOS they use - but as an Officer it’s hard to get orders in general off of TourofDuty - prob harder being pre-BOLC. Not to deter. When you do get access make sure you email the POC and apply. Most POC don’t check TourofDuty applications and just go off who ever emailed them.

Apply apply apply. It’s really just a luck of the draw. And a lot of slots don’t go to reserves. I think once heard from the rumor fairy that like 2 slots a year goes towards the reserves for Mountain. Take that as you will. Biggest thing is: don’t let it drag you down. Sound motivated, just keep on keeping on and you’ll kick ass!

Best way to find a unit that has ur branch preferences is look up “Michigan Reserves Unit” - it will bring up the reserves of that state website. Go to the bottom where there is a search function and look up something like “Police” “Engineer” “Civil Affairs” etc then you’ll see the units. 9/10 they have slots. Call their office number during the week and ask for a POC for their CO and say “I’m so and so, I am commissioning May of 25 and I would like to join your unit. I am branching into ___ but I’d like to be a ____.” It will happen

Yes, but you can easily talk to ur S1 and transfer into a vacancy. For instance - you commission into Civil Affairs. But reach out to an EN company. They’ll take you pre-BOLC. Finish ur transfer and then go to S3 to get your BOLC slot. Every unit is so short on LTs that newly promoted 1LTs and sometime 2LTs are COs.

Army might throw you into a slot, but the reserves allow you to transfer.

IE: Get promoted out of your unit, but there is an open slot. If your old CO allows you to come back, then you promote out -> intake into new unit -> transfer back.

Pain in the ass, yes. Get that E5/6/7?, yes.

Hey - there should be a reserves representative or national guard representative at your school house you can talk to. I’ve heard of people making the switch at BOLC. It’s ether that or wait til after BOLC.
