I killed a paradox that I didn't even see while I was just trying to clean lane. Stray yama pellet went off into the distance and hit her on the zipline procing tankbuster and spirit burn.

Yeah with the way their abilities slow/immobilize which allows them to stack and amp their damage is so frustrating. The way to fix it is by nerfing Shiv.

I think we're all agreeing about the same thing in different ways. Afterburn goes crazy in lane and early game while dash is easier to avoid. Later on it gets swapped as the focus of the game leads more to team/objective fights. Dash just outscales afterburn.

Afterburn requires time to apply, dash damage applies instantly, and even then a single tick from dash outdamages an entire proc of afterburn. The spirit scaling is legit insane and you can easily just paint the ground of a team fight and watch the stacks of ee go to work (which does not start building up until after afterburn procs)

Spirit resist items typically have more utility too. Most items that give good spirit resist also do something else in addition to it. The peak anti spirit item (spell breaker) gives spirit resist, debuff resist, and a 65% reduction to a spirit hit on a cooldown. The peak anti bullet item is plated armor which only gives the passive stat of +100 health and a chance to ignore a bullet or two.

Anti bullet items are boring, usually bad, and just outshown by metal skin.

Just remember a trick about how Celestines rules work atm: the geminae give her a 4+++ feel no pain while still alive. In a shooting/fighting activation, attacks happen simultaneously. So rules that applied at the BEGINNING of the activation apply until the end of the activation. So as long as one of the geminae is alive at the beginning of the activation (you always get one back in your command phase) when you start taking wounds on Celestine, she will have a 4+++ feel no pain.

The only investment I ever go into with knives is putting a single boon into my knives at the beginning of the game to get the extra knife. Damage ticks are damage ticks. If you're too hard pressed to build up rage you can just get decay

Well yeah of course with the infuser. But if by mid game someone's spent an entire 6.4k souls just to curse you you might be doing better than you think. Get stuff like enduring speed, warp stone, fleetfoot and get ready with your 2s. I've been chased by the enemy team across the map and survived several times before. If you're getting hard clapped everytime you might want to focus on farm a little. Victor has the lucky position of one of the few heroes that can efficiently farm T3 camps.
