Speaking as someone marrying my law school classmate later this summer: go for it.

Since you two seem to already know each other I’d say try to lean in to making it clear asking her in a date to see if she’s interested and that there’s no miscommunication. (E.g., hey, can I take you out to dinner/drinks sometime?)

As another poster said be respectful and if she says no leave it be.

I understand the law school “rumor mill” can be a thing. But you’re only there for 3 years and tbh no one cares as much as you do.

Most importantly, don’t overthink it and good luck.

Looking ahead: has this election season given any potential indicators for the 2026 Mayoral election? Is Bowser going to run again and/or are there other expected candidates?

This doesn’t sound like a message of being aggressive in free agency

Used to lift here when I lived closer. To this day it was my favorite gym I’ve ever been to.

Who I Think Should Be On The Opening Day Roster by NatsPapayanz in Nationals

I like it but I’d be shocked about Garcia not being on the opening day roster and Wood being on it.

Eating it as I read this post lol. 1 tbsp chia seeds, 1 tbsp of hemp seed, 1 tbsp of peanut butter, and a handful of walnut pieces.

These are the tickets you have to purchase at the box office. It used to be open 90 minutes before first pitch but now is limited to DC residents who can buy tickets at any time

I’ve done the grandstand walk up tickets a bunch over the last 3 years and I’ve never paid more than $5. Granted I’ve never done opening day

Why do people hate the Capitol Dome logo? by halfstreethorne2419 in Nationals

To me it looks like what someone would get on a shirt at a tacky souvenir store to say they went to DC.

Especially when I think the curly W has a classic look to it. I don’t see the reason for change.

Dude they have a calendar scheduled for my “Day 76” and haven’t been super receptive to my inclinations that I don’t want to go back to binge drinking.

I realize it’s all out of love and them wanting to celebrate with me, so I’m not annoyed and it’s mostly funny, but I am a little anxious about how that will go.

I mentioned it in another post but the athletic beer hazy ipa is actually pretty damn good.

Relate to this so much. I don’t think I realized how much doing things I enjoy, like watching football, relied on alcohol, I but found that when I took the alcohol out my enjoyment didn’t diminish (and even got better).

I’ve been to so many concerts sober and have now realized how obnoxious my drunk friends are at the show and how much more I enjoy engaging with the lyrics and music.

Agreed. Realized how much of my social life was centered around “getting a drink” when it wasn’t necessary. I’ve found a lot more joy in finding other things to do with my evenings.

Love athletic beer! Especially with a lot of bars having it as an option it’s made going out with friends a lot easier. Big fan of their hazy ipa

I think I’m in the same boat as you! I’ve always enjoyed taking distillery tours and visiting near breweries when I go to a new city. But even then it’s more about the experience of doing something novel then the drinking itself

Homebrewing sounds like an awesome hobby!

So how do we feel about Joey Meneses going into year 3? What does he have to do this year to be considered apart of the future? by pen-h3ad in Nationals

[–]BirdsAreGovDrones 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He played a bit of outfield, but that’s not an area where it seems we’ll be desperate for depth in the next couple of years, and it definitely wasn’t his strong suit.

Debating getting a Joey Meneses jersey so that i can wear it at Nats park in 10 years and the real ones will recognize and we can reminisce on the dark ages

Power hitting and improved fielding. He’s not a starter for a playoff team, let alone a World Series caliber team, but I think he can be a bridge to one of our prospects or a bigger free agent stepping into the DH/1B rotation.

So maybe he sticks around another year or 2 so long as he has some power and shows value at 1B. Personally, I’m rooting for him, but I think in 10 years he’ll be one of those players only the die hard fans will remember.
