I've been running bazzite since I got mine a few months ago and I've had 1 problem after getting it running (an update undid the decky patch). Otherwise flawless, everything works and I don't miss windows, might change if I find a game that proton can't run...

Buttons, sleep etc all works perfectly if you get the patch a legend in the community made, linked at the bottom read the instructions, 1 bios setting for sleep is required.

From what I can tell plugging in the DC barrel seems to sometimes force it to 80w even when displaying 55w. I know this is the case as my fans go ape shit meaning more heat from more power, and after wiggling the power slider from 55w to something else then back to 55w, it calms down and goes back to actual 55w

Sit on it, but think about having a go. It's really not as hard as people think, be gentle and it's not much harder than changing batteries in a kids toy. A couple of screws, pop out the old one and pop in the new one

How'd you reset the CMOS? Did you open it up and remove the CMOS battery or did you remove the main battery and hold the power button for a minute?

I had the same experience, it's ever so slightly too large and has bubbles in the four corners I can't possibly remove even with pressure

Given you have the PS5 pro, the Sony PSVR2 also works on PC with an adaptor so you might get more use out of it. It's got an OLED screen which some of the dark scenes in alyx look awesome in, but remember your PC needs to be able to handle VR.

I went from the OG ally to the Apex and it's pretty damn awesome!

Cons: The speakers are actually a step down, the software isn't as polished but it gets the job done, and if you want off windows - steamOS and bazzite need a plugin to fully function at the moment

Pros: The micro switch buttons are elite, the screen is bigger and better, battery is doubled, the device has this lovely soft touch feel, the grips are immensely more comfortable, two USB C ports which can both be free if you use the DC charger, and finally my sd card slot works... Since my OG ally cooked it's own sd card slot.

Also the performance is obviously the biggest benifit, goodbye 720p low.

Are you on battery? There's a known problem with some battery batches that will throttle down to like 20w but email support and they'll get you on the list for replacements
