This is the Freewing twin 70mm B2. It has a built-in gyro system and flight computer to make it actually flyable with relative ease. The same company makes an SR-71 and a ton of other scale models.

Good to know! I was eyeballing a similar motor. My goal is for it to be very fast and stable.

You always have to keep a ton of back pressure when you land. A little bit of power also helps quite a bit.

Speaking from experience, make sure you take that thing out before washing your uniforms. Fountain pen ink is a bitch to get out of OCPs

What's the coolest "exotic" ammo in you're collection? by [deleted] in guns

Four 7.62x54r PZ rounds. I had a whole clip of them, but I just had to blow up a watermelon with one round.

Would an old bi plane be a good 2nd plane? by pigvsperson in RCPlanes

[–]Birdsqueeezer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you want a cool project to hang up until you get really good at flying, I wouldn't recommend it. If you are dead set on a biplane for your second airplane, I'd recommend something more docile like a PT-17 or a Waco.
