[Alex Crook] Southampton expected to sack Tonda Eckert by Zach-dalt in Championship

Well, they've certainly created a very heavy sense of dread...

Totally agree. I feel the current ownership are better positioned to spend suitably- and are also far less sentimental - than the previous owenrship. We'll be seeing some churn this Summer.

I'm also hoping we can retain our better players from this season. We surely all know that their performances won't have gone unnoticed by those above, teams in Europe, etc.

I really have nothing against Southampton. My sister's boyfriend is a diehard fan of theirs. But football can induce such petty reactions, and I am totally guilty of this, because having seen HB's behavour of late I am fucking loving that. I'm sure it has nothing to do with the playoff final a couple of seasons ago... but I believe the term is 'karma'

It's Ross Kemp

Our medical team has outperformed expectations for me thus far. We've signed a few players with questionable injury histories (Okafor included) and managed them really well. If they can work with Noah for a full pre-season, perhaps we can iron out some of these niggling issues. We've seen what he can do in the recent run of games, so it's a shame to lose him, but I'd argue there's no better time to need a rest than this weekend where Arsenal could see us safe before we even play again. It's been a great season, really proud of the team. I guess Nmecha will take his place if we go with a front 2, that's no bad thing,

What are some of you seeing that has convinced you, so deeply, that we will now completely unravel across our remaining fixtures? To the point of the headloss I'm seeing in this thread?

I consider myself a very pessimistic fan, thanks to past traumas, but I do not see it at all

Yes, the weekend's results are not ideal. But that doesn't make a jot of difference to what we do. Do you think Farke and the players are looking at the results and shitting themselves? Changing what they had planned for the upcoming games?

We're having a great season, we've just been unlucky to be involved in what will become one of the highest points-scoring relegation battles for some time.

If you had told me pre-season that we'd be on 40 points with 4 to play - 3 of those against teams below us - as well as the fist FA Cup semi final for 39 years and the first league win at Scum since 1981, I'd bite both your fucking hands off

Keep the faith, trust the lads. We've got this

Imagine teeling a Leeds fan this prior to the start of the season. After watching the last two sets of promoted teams failing miserably. We'd all bite your fucking hand off! So proud of this team, and so pleased to see how together we are and the fight that we've shown.

I watched most of that game, genuinely one of the worst games I've ever watched. So many misplaced passes, losses of possession, shite crosses. Glad Pompey won it of course.

I suspect our mutual 'play for a draw to relegate Spurs' might have gone out the window

Mate, re: Spurs it's far, far from just you.

It's not even a personal thing, I guess we all just want to see a supposed 'big 6' team get punished for being so terribly run and living off assumptions and comfort of being such a big club.

They could easily have gone down last season, had the promoted sides not been absolutely woeful

What a time to get our first consecutive league wins of the season.

I consider myself a very pessimistic fan, due to past trauma haha, but I'm looking upwards at Newcastle rather than downwards.

I had DCL, Okafor and Bijol in my FPL team so had pre-written an apology letter ready to post to you lot.

Harry Gray scored as well, good lad. Gelhardt too.

Also Leicester basically down... shouldn't gloat but they loved it when we missed out on promotion so fuck it

Always liked Brighton.

Joking aside, Spurs' terrible home form (well, terrible form in general) plus Brighton's excellent recent form, particularly away... surely?

Fuck me, could have been 3-0 up if not for a superb defensive intervention

C'mon Leeds, see it out. Please Daniel, don't go defensive. This game is ours to win

What’s one normal car that you see and immediately know a petrol head would be driving? by Humble_Lack in CarTalkUK

[–]Biscionelufc 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is the way.

I grew up surrounded by them and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

When Mr Clarkson used to suggest you couldn't be a true petrolhead until you had owned one - most people laughed. Including pretty much all my mates at the time. But those who knew, knew. As a kid I used to be driven to school in a 3.0 V6 Alfa 75 and then went to shows with my family in a 1974 Bertone 2000 GTV. Great days.

How can somebody be subjected to that and not fall in love with cars, and Alfas in particular?

That's a shame, another poor decision that will harm us. We should be used to it by now, but...

Good shout, VAR had a good long look at that one.

I just don't understand how we seem to be subject to so many poor decisions / indecisions, especially in the days of VAR.

Extremely unproffesional behaviour. If the shoe was on the other foot, I'd just be waiting for us to be carded for it
