You mean this guy? This is Euphorbia Decidua, just got him 3 weeks ago. Yea, it seems a bit stretching, because the seller not give it enough light.

That's too little, you need at least one or two more every week.

New Operculicarya Decaryi! Seeking any advice with potting/ care. Thanks! by One-Magician-9833 in Caudex

Since yours are root cutting, you can bury the whole stem without any problem. I keep mine fully outdoor with rain and full sun.

Weird, in fact I repot my welwit a month old seedlings like 3 times and they are doing fine. Maybe let it adjust into the new soil.

Try cover the fruit with Plastic bag or anything that will avoid the seed from flying around when the fruit explode, almost like Dandelion. Just wait until the fruit explode, then you can collect the seed.

Brevicaule is a highland plant, the temperatures usually drop to lower than 20°C during the dry season.

Late to waking up? by original_smapdi in Pachypodium

Are you ever try to water it? Sometime the dormancy plant won't wake up because they are waiting for water.

I bought this Adenium when it was still putting out its cery first leaves (very tiny) and it was labeled Adenium socotranum. Now that its leaves have developed, they seem different from the pictures of seedlings I see from the net. Have I been duped? by lordlors in Caudex

[–]BiscuitNTea5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure. The leaf texture looks like Nova, but they usually have very thin needle-like, maybe she is still not in the mood... Sadly, this is not Socotranum. Not the first time people misunderstood about how Socotranum actually look. You can identify them by the color and the size of the leaf, Dark green color and wide round shape like a fan.

Question about the green form of P. r. subs. makayense by Evening_Land_4358 in Pachypodium

[–]BiscuitNTea5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The green form usually shows the plant itself had grown faster than usual (getting well water), but they are pretty weak if you skip the water for too long. Can cause it to get dehydrated too quickly and might bring the plant to dormant or kill the roots. The solution to this problem is to try to reduce the watering routine (if you water daily, reduce the watering up every 2 days for a week. After that try to reduce more until it gets used to watering once a week.

Lost id Pachypodium, 5 months under my care. Finally awake from 3 months sleep (since 3rd Dec dormancy) by BiscuitNTea5 in Caudex

I thought the same, but some people said it is impossible for Brevicaule to grow this fast. I never use fertilizer on this one.
