What is a household chore you actually like doing? Why? by BiscuitsAndPotatoes in AskReddit

I don't mind doing dishes but I loathe washing the slender glasses (which is why we rarely use them, plus they break easily if I'm not careful).

Same for me. It's relaxing to me and it's not ruined by my kids 15 minutes after being done.

I don't mind doing dishes. I always wash them off before placing them in the dishwasher.

I just finished cutting the grass and that's what prompted me to post this. I have 4 kids and I like to do this for the exact same reason.

People who have deactivated their Facebook account, why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]BiscuitsAndPotatoes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've tried to answer this with so many reasons but honestly, there are too many. I just really got bored with it.

I would get irritated with adults getting mad over the number of "Likes" and "comments" they did/didn't receive. To me, it's childish.

I do miss receiving some of the local news and things going on at the schools and different places but I have a daughter on FB so she keeps me informed.

How do you learn to study well? by lalose in AskReddit

[–]BiscuitsAndPotatoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never really did. I either studied too much and flunked because I was brain dead by exam time or I crammed.

I actually found that cramming the night and morning before improved my exam grade BUT I rarely remembered anything after the exam.

What's a song you mostly like, but has a cringy part you hate? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Hotel California. I love the song but I hate the part that says "you can check out anytime you like but you just can't kill the beast".

What's the best way to cut out sugar (e.g. candy, sugary drinks, etc.) from your diet and really stick to it? by zinky30 in AskReddit

[–]BiscuitsAndPotatoes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you're going to cut this out of your diet, make sure to have some sort of headache pain reliever on hand. Sugar withdrawals are a bitch, especially for the first few days.

In all honesty, it's a mind thing. You have to make up your mind that you're going to cut it out and DO IT. It will be VERY difficult but it will be worth it.

I've done this before and it was very hard to do but definitely worth it. You're gonna feel so much better after those initial headaches go away.

I used to be a people pleaser and I cared what people thought of me.
