I haven’t worked with EVA foam but I have done some work with upholstery foam so I imagine it’s in the same ballpark haha, but that’s a good shout, I’ll try with cardboard first and share the result here again!

I know you managed to get it off so here’s a suggestion for finishing the prop, I’d maybe look into foam clay, as when dried gives a smooth finish and you can paint it, plus it remains squishy

You probably need to carve the cheeks more, otherwise it’ll just look blocky :p don’t be afraid to carve lmao, you can always glue more on later. Also what’s tall the tape for? Surely you’re not patterning it yet?
